Safety as a man in Colombia.

Thats what I mean in terms of attitude. Obviously you see something different in that video than I do. Of course its an excuse in order to not feel bad. So do all of us. However I don't believe they are all prostitutes doing this. The TE says he has 500 numbers of women in his phone and seems...

Safety as a man in Colombia.

2am and I can see a lot people walking and texting on their phone. Not Bogota but Medellin and maybe not iphones, though. I registered here to exchange experiences when it comes to business/tax related topics and definitely there are some interesting posts and people! But I realize that when it...

    Robbery and safety

Call me naive but there are 8bn people out there and by far the vast majority is just trying to get by. Of course you can influence chances by what you wear or how much attention you attract or how you behave. But at the end in 99,9999% of cases luckily nothing happens and when it happens it can...

Bulgaria or Cyprus for company and residency?

Thanks. I did not expect anything better than this actually but wanted to be fair and give it a try. @Marshal My post was irony in the first place as all he "contributed" was shithole, shithole, shithole without providing anything better from own experience either. So I asked which wonderful...

Most tax efficient residence in EU: Bulgaria, Romania, Cyprus?

@Dandyline If you allow me to ask: Do you have (permanent) residency in Bulgaria / running a company in Bulgaria? Or did you choose another location?

Most tax efficient residence in EU: Bulgaria, Romania, Cyprus?

At a monthly salary of 13.000€ it should be around 14,6% total expenses. With rising salary it will get closer to 10,x % because social contributions are capped. For example at 30.000€ monthly you will be around 12% total.

Most tax efficient residence in EU: Bulgaria, Romania, Cyprus?

Yes, I think its somewhere around 13.000€ per month where salary gets more attractive than paying out dividends.

Most tax efficient residence in EU: Bulgaria, Romania, Cyprus?

100% agree. I often read tips which state ONE single aspect. But it matters all. Thats why Bulgaria / Cyprus are interesting for many people as its quite straightforward.

Most tax efficient residence in EU: Bulgaria, Romania, Cyprus?

    1) Honestly I never understood the advantage of Estonia. Its tax free but only until you distribute profits, isn't it? When paid out you pay 20% or am I wrong? 2) From what I understood there are quite some obligations to benefit from this tax excempt. And even then from what I read you have to...

Most tax efficient residence in EU: Bulgaria, Romania, Cyprus?

Thanks for sharing. Yes, Cyprus is really small - the whole island has less citizens than Sofia alone. But I'm not sure how long I'd stay actually. Planning is to stay only for 2-3 months per year so for city life I could go elsewhere and stay in "winter" in Cyprus at ~15°. In that case ease of...

@Marketint The id checks sound weird...would be interesting why they do that. You said you had a residency in BG. Did you run a business and how was your experience? I'm considering BG and Cyprus.

Most tax efficient residence in EU: Bulgaria, Romania, Cyprus?

@Dandyline Thanks. OK, now I understood. You mean proofs for your home country. I agree. I think this will be very individual depending on home/destination, whether you have a successful business at the time you leave, double tax treaties,... May I ask did you live / incorporate in Cyprus /...

    New tax in Bulgaria?

@blancmon229 Interesting that you find the Bulgarian people to be friendly. In most comments I read people found them rude. Thanks for sharing your perspective! Are you permanently living in Bulgaria? You also said its largely run by Mafia. How does that show and does it impact a normal online...

Most tax efficient residence in EU: Bulgaria, Romania, Cyprus?

You mean in general to be safe in any country or do you say that based on experience in Cyprus? I mean do they really check CreditCard payments and ask for receipts in Cyprus? @Dasilva I don't know personally but from what I read getting these 0% exemptions is not easy and even then you need to...

Bulgaria or Cyprus for company and residency?

If its OK for you I would suggest to leave it at that and return to topic. I made my point clear, so did you. But this topic is about Cyprus vs Bulgaria for company formation and residency and all I added was that debt level in Bulgaria is much lower compared to Cyprus which I consider a Pro as...

Bulgaria or Cyprus for company and residency?

Let me repeat. These are not problems bound to Euro. If Bulgarian goverments will "steal the money" as you write for Greece than this is a national reason. If they wanted - even with Euro - they could come up with a limitation of debts. It depends on their own national politics. Estonia has the...

Bulgaria or Cyprus for company and residency?

I don't know the details but at the end national goverments decide how much debt they make - either with Lev or Euro. But I understand your mistrust in Goverment when they have access to more debts. Lets hope Bulgaria chooses the best way for their people. I think thats true for most countries...
