Review of FlowBank, New Swiss Bank

They did not ask me when I opened one year ago. Anyway, since they asked that question to you, you could have say that you want to start investing. Put €100 onto something e.g. VWCE and be with it.

Do you have experience with these UAE based foreign exchanges?

Try Moneycorp, I have used them for years.

    Bank account in Jersey

Is there any other than Barclays bank in Jersey that has SEPA? Natwest?

Anyone know of any banks offering *personal* accounts with the following combination of features?

Have they increased the minimum relationship balance? I am quite sure it was £25,000 or €50,000 before, now it is £100,000.

Why people hate HSBC so much ??? What is your bad experience???

I guess it depends when last year. Last year they quit retail US banking for individuals, leaving this offer in place which clearly seems to target non US foreigners and non US residents.

Why people hate HSBC so much ??? What is your bad experience???

There is no requirement to be Premier in other countries. You can open HSBC US account without having ties to US or HSBC before. This is why it is quite interesting.

Why people hate HSBC so much ??? What is your bad experience???

I don't as I don't like HSBC, however the US banking offer got my attention. I can't seem to find the way to open account on Citi US website as easily as on HSBC US. The HSBC offer is tailored specifically towards foreign non residents, while Citi US is not.

Why people hate HSBC so much ??? What is your bad experience???

HSBC US doesn't seem to require even US address. That looks like you can open a fully operational US bank account remotely, without having any US ties. For international customers, please check these additional requirements I am eligible if: I am not a U.S. Citizen OR I don't have a U.S. Social...

Why people hate HSBC so much ??? What is your bad experience???

Why would they make it so easy to open US bank account to foreign non residents? I recall usually the US banks require SSN and local address, unless some investments related bank accounts like international Charles Schwab.

    Amex Centurion

Amex card has a separate spending account, if it is in CHF you will have to convert EUR to CHF to pay it off. In UAE you can choose for some Amex cards if you want AED or USD card. USD has to be paid off to their US bank account. Those benefits are on the Platinum Amex as well, which is much...

    Amex Centurion

I am not sure if there is much difference between Centurion and Platinum Charge. I have the Plat Charge metal card in UAE (it's their highest tier card). Despite highest tier, it earns 1 MR for 1 USD, while the Plat credit card (1 tier lower) gets 2 MR for 1 USD. I understand one is charge card...

Costs of a regular audit for Free Zone entity in Dubai

The problem with audit is that usually nobody will agree to make an audit without having professionally prepared accounts. Since neither accounting or auditing was required by some of the free zones, it is hard to look at only audit fees. That's the same like with VAT reporting. You can find...

What happens if you don't register for VAT in Dubai?

I also find answers from @Fred in this thread very strange. Perhaps it was some kind of Stolichnaya effect from having too many Russians customers lately :) Breaking the law by not registering with VAT authorities (or applying for the exception from VAT), upon crossing or knowing you will cross...

What happens if you don't register for VAT in Dubai?

Isn't it compulsory by law to register for VAT above AED 375,000 threshold?

What happens if you don't register for VAT in Dubai?

It is required to charge VAT zero rated, unless you can get an exception which for instance I did not get.

[ Not completed ] European banks (remote account opening). Crypto related banking. Review thread.

They are Dutch bank and without connections to Netherlands, you can forget about opening non resident account even on the private banking level.

Bank or EMI for Europe to Dubai

Moneycorp will work great. I used them for EUR SEPA deposits, exchange whatever is required to AED or USD and send it further. Then they send the transfers as OUR, covering all fees along the way for free. If it is regular transactions, just negotiate with them FX margin on your account to give...

    Dubai: Poor air quality

No, but as I wrote earlier the differences between congested areas like Bur Dubai, Karama and the green communities like The Greens, Emirates Hills can be up to 3x: https://air-quality.com/place/united-arab-emirates/dubai/24ef41d4?lang=en&standard=aqi_us

    swissquote for personal crypto cashout

I opened account 1 year ago and deposited funds from Wise. I did not use them much to be honest since then, however they have improved online banking lately and you can properly submit 3rd party transfers. So I did my 1st transfer out from Flowbank to Kraken's Bank Frick and it arrived within 1...
