Wise transfers from and to Xapo

I have just asked again to Wise support. According to their support, they only allow to receive money from a platform that is regulated and/or supervised in the EU or UK. Xapo may or may not fall into that category. When you search for Xapo in FCA website, it says that "This firm is regulated...

How to pay with a card funded by a Wise Euro business account?

Wise offers the euro account, but no card, hence my original question regarding a service of prepaid card that would work with Wise. The registered agent only accepts a card as a payment (no bank transfer, unfortunately).

How to pay with a card funded by a Wise Euro business account?

It seems not to be the best practice. It may be a slight commingling of funds?

How to pay with a card funded by a Wise Euro business account?

Following you advice, I have tried Revolut and Currenxie. But Revolut does not accept my country of residence. Currenxie stopped the process in the middle saying they do not incorporate US businesses (I contacted their support that told me so). No so easy! This is why I thought using a prepaid...

How to pay with a card funded by a Wise Euro business account?

Opening a dollar account is difficult. But do you mean that opening a euro account for the LLC with another EMI (providing cards, contrary to Wise) could be the way?

How to pay with a card funded by a Wise Euro business account?

They say the business cards are temporarily unavailable in the USA. I think it is a temporary restriction that has lasted for years (maybe just for foreigned-owned LLC?)... I had a card with Mercury, but never had one from Wise. I do not think I can count on that option, unfortunately.

How to pay with a card funded by a Wise Euro business account?

Hello! I own a US LLC (foreign-owned). As you know, Wise and Mercury have tightened their policy, so that I lost my dollar accounts (no US operations, ...). I still have a Wise euro account for the LLC, but Wise cannot issue a business card. I need to pay my registered agent with a card (no...

Xapo Bank Real Deal or Total Steal? Unveiling the Truth Behind the Buzz: Share Your Experiences Now!

Xapo recently announced a new partnership with FalconX, claiming that it brings institutional pricing for bitcoin, with lower fees: https://www.xapobank.com/en/blog/bitcoin-trading-institutional-pricing-falconx I can tell you with certainty this is the exact opposite. I have been buying bitcoin...

Xapo Bank Real Deal or Total Steal? Unveiling the Truth Behind the Buzz: Share Your Experiences Now!

I have never tried it, but in the app, I see the "Euro transfer" is available and is a SEPA transfer. I think you cannot hold euros with Xapo, so that they should convert USD or BTC to EUR first.

Looking for EMI or bank account accepting ACH

Wise accepts ACH transfers. Xapo Bank has recently added (back) ACH transfers in your own name. As mentioned earlier, Payoneer, but with high fees. Depending on your region, maybe (not 100 % sure about ACH): Utoppia, Grabrfi, Takenos and Wallbit.

    Wise business trading address

Thanks! Indeed, not promising, but at least they do not close everything. I understand that only GBP accounts can receive USD (that will be converted)? But maybe not EUR. Are you personally in the UK to have this GBP account?

From Upwork gains to crypto world

Absolutely. But the support told me that "third party" means someone (an individual) else than the account owner. A business is not considered as "third party", at least if it sends a salary or compensation. Upwork does not strictly speaking send a salary, but this is the spirit. When the money...

From Upwork gains to crypto world

As promised, I share my experience. Now that Xapo Bank has added the ACH transfer in your own name, it is possible to send incomes from Upwork to Xapo Bank account (Lead Bank behind). Then you can buy bitcoin with Xapo Bank, and reach the rest of the crypto world. I tested it and it works...

    Wise business trading address

Just got the same request today by Wise to register a business place, for a foreign-owned US LLC. But my country of residence is not in the list of accepted countries, so that I cannot fill in my "trading" address. I guess I will lose this USD account, after losing Mercury account due to lack of...

From Upwork gains to crypto world

@BeyondBorders @cobewi8981 Wise support wrote me that sending to Xapo or receiving from Xapo was forbidden because of the crypto activities of Xapo. So be careful, because, as @JackAlabama says, Wise lets you do things that can later have your account closed. Maybe you could check with the...

From Upwork gains to crypto world

Great news! Xapo has just re-introduced ACH transfers with a dedicated bank account, in your own name. Thus it should work for Upwork, and with a reasonable 0.1% fee plus $0.5. I will try and report here. FYI, the bank behind the account is Lead Bank. Sure, if there is an exchange that provides...

From Upwork gains to crypto world

Wise will not allow sending to Xapo, according to their support. But to IBKR, yes, and this may be the way! I am not sure yet. I have read a few things about IBKR that would be problematic (very high fees, withdrawal limitations, ...), but I tend to think they are wrong when I read IBKR help. I...

From Upwork gains to crypto world

Hello there, How can one efficiently convert Upwork gains to cryptos, without a regular bank account in the US? Upwork deals with dollars only and supports ACH transfers. Wires are expansive (50$). Which EMI or alike would receive ACH transfers and allow to send to some crypto exchange? Wise...

Legal Residence vs Tax Residence for a bank

My understanding is that a bank is interested in the tax residence for CRS reporting. But in practice, this is not clear indeed, because they usually ask for a physical address (which will coincide with the tax residence for 99 % of the people, though). Sometimes they ask for a TIN.
