How to become tax resident in Thailand? (I got rejected)

I didn't get this, can you elaborate? Oh, perhaps you meant not distributing the dividends for years (would be taxed as income, that's crazy), postponing it to a year where you won't be resident. I see your point. But again.. let's wait and see; this needs a law, and many people will try to...

How to become tax resident in Thailand? (I got rejected)

This is a good take. This time they need a law for that, not an interpretation from the Revenue Dept. I would say they will eventually do it, perhaps starting from 2026 or something. They cannot do it for this year, same reason why they didn't do it earlier in 2023 for the remitted money. They...

My IBKR Portfolio - All Weather EUR Ed.

    I completely disagree with that, and actually, it's not me to say, numbers say a different story: Period - Average Annual Growth All Weather vs S&P500 1973/2021: 9.60% vs 7.89% 1980/2021: 9,60% vs 9,39% 1990/2021: 8,64% vs 8.83% 2000/2021: 7,80% vs 5.77% 2011/2021: 7,55% vs 12,12% (the only...

My IBKR Portfolio - All Weather EUR Ed.

Hi, This is my version of the Ray Dalio All Weather, with a focus only on EUR (but obviously largely exposed to USD/US anyway). The China exposure can be avoided, it's personal. The idea behind this is that should work with all the scenarios and the only thing you should do would be, every...

Would it still be needed to declare the UBO right?

    Crypto source of funds... ideas?

Yes but it's not recent, so would be clear that I haven't declared it in the previous financial years as it was supposed to be. Not sure the accountant can help with that.

    Crypto source of funds... ideas?

I do understand what you mean; what I don't understand is how to justify the company having a crypto income/wallet if it never invoiced for these transactions. Am I missing the point here?

    Crypto source of funds... ideas?

Yeah, fiat on a business will be my final choice if I don't find a better one. Regarding your second question: I feel like I'm a bit too exposed to crypto, so cashing out and buying a condo would be nice. I don't need to rush into it, but it's something that would be good to do eventually.

    Crypto source of funds... ideas?

FIAT in the form of cash? I can get that already, just want the money in a bank account. If personal is better, else I will move it as a business eventually in some way.

    Crypto source of funds... ideas?

Cold wallet. Wise won't like any incoming funds from Kraken and might ask itself for some source of funds doc. Not sure gift or private sale would be viable, but I was looking for something like that, like selling some luxury watches. But not sure.

    Crypto source of funds... ideas?

This makes sense, but the company didn't invoice the amount, so there is no "crypto wallet" for the company. Am I missing something here?

    Crypto source of funds... ideas?

Thanks for taking the time. I can document the source of funds, not with a lot of docs but should be enough I guess. But since I also use the same bank for my business, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't like the money being funneled as "personal" when it should be business; and unfortunately, I...

    Crypto source of funds... ideas?

Hello everyone, I have a decent amount of cryptocurrency and I'm interested in using it in real-world applications, at least partially. Initially, I didn't anticipate this growth, so I didn't incorporate these funds into a business entity, even though they were acquired through affiliations. My...

    Thailand tax update 20/11/23

Thanks guys for taking the time again. So what I read in the ebook I've attached earlier is simply wrong (full ebook here JFYI: Purchasing A Condo In Thailand As A Foreigner Ebook.pdf). They write on the website to be both experts in real estate and crypto so I would have been interested in...

    Thailand tax update 20/11/23

Thanks for taking the time to reply, I appreciate it. I well understand the process you are suggesting, but what I miss is the "remittance of foreign funds" as I read in the attached ebook. Sounds like the funds cannot be moved and used in a second moment, but must be used directly to pay the...

    Thailand tax update 20/11/23

Super interesting thread guys. I'm willing to convert some USDT/USDC to THB to buy a condo or something (so, not a small deal), and I wanna do it in a super clean way. If someone can advise a contact to discuss the matter, even for paid advice, it'd help a lot. PS. The tricky part, that I...

Hong Kong - EMIs & Tax

I really don't understand why someone would do that when you can pay 0 tax and have all the papers in order. As @Sols said: what if the EMIs ask for the accounting papers? And how can you distribute the dividends? In most cases, unless we are talking about change money, your personal bank will...
