    HSBC Premier Lifehack

That's a real sad that no brokerage account works. Nobody leaves 75K or more in their account without interest. I wouldn't let it be managed.

hsbc uae or hsbc expat jersey - barclays channel islands

I had an account with BARCLAYS IOM (now closed). I had previously tried to apply for a brokerage account online and it didn't work. It is reserved for UK citizens only. Let us know how it is now.

    HSBC Premier Lifehack

I had three in Europe: Satabank (Malta), BNC10 (Spain), FlowBank (Switzerland). BNC10 owes me money that I will probably never see again. Which one was it for you, the same or?

Setting Up an Offshore Company While Being a French Tax Resident

I find it a coercive and nonsensical language that doesn't exist anywhere in the world. I want to do my job and earn money and not sit in school all the time, losing money because I can't work.

Setting Up an Offshore Company While Being a French Tax Resident

You can simply google that this is the case, unfortunately. "One significant update is a new Catalan language requirement for residency permit renewals. This is part of Andorra's recent Law on Official Languages, aimed at fostering integration. For the first renewal, applicants need a...

Setting Up an Offshore Company While Being a French Tax Resident

If you are in France, how about a residence in Andorra? 10% maximum tax. They also speak French there. Unfortunately, all immigrants are now forced to learn Catalan and all those who are already here. I find that impossible and perhaps an exclusion criterion.

Does Swissquote allow 3rd party transfers?

Swissquote CH does not like to accept deposits from third parties. I was also asked stupid questions when I transferred someone else's money. SQ Luxembourg should allow foreign deposits; the condition has been changed for that. Last edited by a moderator: Jan 19, 2025

Liechtenstein like LGT and other banks are just snooty and think they are better. They only pay the fees because of the name and location. But it makes no sense. I am willing to pay a maximum of 0.10% fees for trading. SQ can be used to store assets but not for trading. Better to keep...

Are you serious that 9K doesn't bother me with 1M securities? Of course it bothers me. Why throw 9K out the window when you can do it for 0K? If you don't like IBKR then take Swissquote, it's really safe and you pay max. 200CHF a year even with 1 billion assets. Or you like to pay 9M per year...

hsbc uae or hsbc expat jersey - barclays channel islands

Banks in Switzerland and Liechtenstein are completely unsuitable for buy stocks/ETFs because of the extreme fees. 1.9% per order (10K= 190€ fee) and 0.40% custody fee completely absurd. IBRK would be only 0.08% (10K= 8€ fee) per order and no custody fee and just as safe. Swissquote is also...

I wouldn't use HSBC Expat Jersey just because it doesn't work with SEPA. Only BARCLAYS IOM can be recommended. But don't expect much, the online banking is terribly old-fashioned. Standing orders in EUR do not work, only in British pounds.

But I think you have to live outside the EU for BARCLAYS IOM to be possible. EU citizens are excluded. Stocks/ETFs are probably only possible from 300K € deposits. You have to deposit at least 120K € or counter currency otherwise it costs 45 € per month in fees. Here is the original...

I would only recommend BARCLAYS (IOM), it is the only bank in the whole Jersey area where SEPA credit transfers and SEPA direct debits are possible. No one else, not even HSBC.

    Personal credit cards?

Well, I certainly won't be in North Korea. I've only been to Seol once. The air was so bad, the city was in fog 24 hours all every day. The dirtiest air in the world.

    Personal credit cards?

Honestly, it's all pointless. You'll never get an account/card there. There's also the risk of a bank going bust. I've already had 4 bankruptcies and I've had enough. No more risk!
