I'm in a similar situation.
Someone sent me money to my old PayPal account but I have no banks linked to it. PayPal is rejecting my bank accounts since I am in Belize.
I am happy with SharkVPN + Firefox using uBlock, NoScript + a HTTPS plugin.
It really depends on your threat model. If you're doing something that's pretty illegal you should look into Tails which is very simple to use and also the best for privacy.
