    Incorporation in Cyprus

CyprusLaw, I have some questions on this post and that of the OP, can you PM me?

    Cyprus record-keeping

How actively do the tax authorities test presence for sixty days in Cyprus for tax residence? Should one keep appropriate credit card transactions? Are there any cases of people having their tax residence rescinded because of this?

Treatment of UK ISAs in Cyprus

In the UK you can add £20k per year tax-free for investing in stocks, shares, ETFs, etc. Does anyone have experience with how the appreciation or dividends are taxed on these in Cyprus?

Has anyone moved tax residence from Cyprus to UAE?

Has anyone moved tax residence from Cyprus to Dubai? As per the title of the thread. Just interested in first-hand experience of this process, how much hassle the tax office in Cyprus may have caused/how much proof they asked for of a genuine move, and whether you stayed in the UAE for six...

Question Dividends as non dom in cyprus

The circa 25% tax is strictly on salary. It's a common practise to e.g. take a foreign dividend (on which you will pay 2.65%). And to pay some kind of salary, on which the tax will be higher, but which will establish economic ties to the island and enable you to benefit from healthcare etc...

Question Dividends as non dom in cyprus

Two different things are being confused. You pay a 2.65% tax on dividends for the general upkeep of the health system. But this does not entitle you to (free) use of the health system. As for whether this is fair, people pay for plenty of things via their taxes for which they don't get a direct...

Question Dividends as non dom in cyprus

You need to be more specific here. You don't pay 5.55% on dividends, you pay 2.65%.

Irish company while resident in Italy

Surely it's obligatory here to get the opinion of an Italian accountant, one well-versed in cross-border issues. Be aware that Italy has some of the strictest 'esterovestizione' laws (i.e. using a company as 'borrowed dress') out there.

Croatia digital nomad visa and tax

Seems a bold claim to make given how much more well-known and well-established as options Cyprus and Portugal are. Can't remember Croatia ever being described as a fiscal paradise.

Individual moving to Cyprus, keeping Limited company in UK.

Switzerland is part of the Single Market, therefore it's difficult to see what more you could need. Otherwise there's so much common policy via the EU's ATAD that you'll find little variation from one to the next.

Individual moving to Cyprus, keeping Limited company in UK.

A general impression from reading around these threads is that Switzerland and UAE would be good places to begin investigating.

Croatia digital nomad visa and tax

No-one is familiar with it because as you said, it's operative from the 1st January. I understand there are cities you can go to in Croatia and apply for this visa and they will give you a blank look. So even the basics are still getting shaken out. Check back in a couple of years, or if you're...

How to live in another EU country?

I think you're confused. As an EU citizen you have a *right* to settle in Slovenia (or anywhere else in the EU). The bar is very low indeed. This is one reason why Brexit was so controversial; many Brits incinerated that right for their fellow Brits. I've never heard of an EU citizen being...

UK-resident incorporating in Singapore without drawing from it?

Most of this thread is science fiction. Again, *you cannot open a Singapore company without having a Singapore-resident director.* Questions about where management and control is exerted continue to apply, but at least start from the basic reality. One thing Singapore is not short of is...

Would Transferwise work in this situation? What's the rough amount?

Individual moving to Cyprus, keeping Limited company in UK.

Again, providing you have a couple of directors in the UK, it is reasonably unlikely that the UK would be unhappy about you continuing to want to pay CT there. (The directors thing is a bare minimum because otherwise there's no possible way to argue that the company's tax residency hasn't...

Individual moving to Cyprus, keeping Limited company in UK.

If your tax residence moves to Cyprus (nb., you should also note that it is possible to obtain tax residence there with a mere 60 days, although at the very least you need a Cyprus company for that purpose, even if it does not trade), the UK company's tax residence will also shift. This leads to...

france spain italy company formation options

As I understand the main problem with France is when you want to leave. Always have an exit strategy, you never know what they are going to pull next.

    Problems with this setup?

Have a lightweight, low-requirement tax residency (i.e. Cyprus officially requires just 60 days). Avoid mess with ATAD and so on which would accrue from using the CyprusCo too much. Have a foothold in the EU -- for now. (British citizen, and I got residency in Cyprus under the terms of the WA...

    Problems with this setup?

How about: open a Cyprus company, and pay a monthly salary from it (and social insurance contributions) but not actually trade with it. Motivation: 60d tax residence (this requires either Cyprus employment or a Cyprus company to be maintained year-round), and also rights to healthcare via the...
