Best combination of high quality of life, entrepreneurial freedom and low taxes

I totally agree on spending time in the countries, which is exactly what I am doing right now. I am looking at HDI because when I was driving around for instance in the Bahamas it became clear that there is a massive separation between how the rich and the poor live. You have these beautiful...

Which Spanish-speaking options do you have in mind? The usual suspects (Panama, Costa Rica, Paraguay)?

I don't think such a setup would necessarily work in the long-term if the country that I spend most of my time in is a highly developed first-world country. Sooner or later the tax authorities would (justifiably) question my tax residency in Dubai and come after me. Living in a first-world...

Best combination of high quality of life, entrepreneurial freedom and low taxes

Jeah, that is exactly what I was thinking. US / Miami is definitely not perfect, but under my (arguably very specific) criteria seems to be the best match. I actually don't mind rain too much as long as it is warm and I love the palm trees and generally lush foliage. Taxes are of course not...

I actually looked into Mauritius because of their digital nomad visa but decided against it because - it is an island - very remote - apparently they have a rampant street dog problem and I love animals Last edited: Jun 29, 2021

I am actually considering this as well - doing something like Florida / Caribbean in winter and Med in summer, however I am not right enough for such a setup (yet, hopefully ;) ).

Best combination of high quality of life, entrepreneurial freedom and low taxes

Interesting, I knew that Singapore is quite strict when it comes to politics but I haven't seen anyone calling it a dictatorship. Yet, looking at Capital punishment in Singapore - Wikipedia I think I tend to agree with you that it doesn't square well with my expectations of personal freedom :)...

Best combination of high quality of life, entrepreneurial freedom and low taxes

I appreciate the suggestions, however they don't fit at all to what I am looking for. Monaco - daily highs are below 20° for 6 months a year (Monaco - Wikipedia) - no big city Cyprus - island - no big cities - not English speaking - too cold, 4 months a year below 20° (Climate of Cyprus -...

I looked into Portugal but I don't speak Portuguese and it is too cold for my taste. Also the NHR system is quite complex in terms of taxation. I don't think I have Jewish roots. Yes, Gibraltar would be too boring and UK / Ireland also are far to cold :)

I am currently in the process of evaluating different jurisdictions for setting up a new home base as I am tired of constantly traveling. My background: - EU passport - self-employed - six-figure income per year - young / healthy / no dependents - no tax residency at the moment What I am...

Deal Reached On Global Minimum Corporate Tax Rate Of At Least 15%

Another interesting point will then be the competition of company domiciles. If I pay the same corporate tax anywhere there is no need for substance requirements and I can simply choose the best jurisdiction in terms of rule of law, bureaucracy etc.

Cayman Enterprise City - Offshore company and work permit in the Cayman Islands

Thanks, very interesting! I guess time to start saving up to be able to move there at some point in the future.

Cayman Enterprise City - Offshore company and work permit in the Cayman Islands

Thank you so much for the reply. The numbers match the ones that I got about a year ago. Do you see any other downside except the high costs? As far as I can see, if you make more than $300k a year and want to live in a safe Caribbean jurisdiction it is actually not a bad offer? Were the...

Cayman Enterprise City - Offshore company and work permit in the Cayman Islands

https://www.caymanenterprisecity.com What do you guys think? It is quite expensive, however if you have the money it looks like a great opportunity to get an offshore company with zero direct taxes, be in a reputable jurisdiction, live in a tropical paradise and have a direct path to permanent...

No capital gains tax in Caribbean/Central America - what does it mean in practice?

Understood, that makes sense. What I found interesting though is that for instance the Bahamas has 3x the murder rate of Dominican Republic even though the standard of living supposedly is a lot higher in the Bahamas. Also Cayman has the same murder rate as Dominican Republic, while Cayman is...

Thanks so much for the answer, highly appreciated. I'll definitely check with my banks here in Europe to see if I can keep my accounts. Does the blacklist also apply to US banks?
