EU: 5th EU Anti-Money Laundering Directive published. AKA EU will know anything about you!

If the bank knows you have nominee shareholders, the public will know. They are trying to erase all privacy in the EU because it is the goal of some NGO groups and OECD groups writing these laws. I can't wait for Brexit now, Boris Johnson is the best thing to happen to the EU, hopefully it...

EU: 5th EU Anti-Money Laundering Directive published. AKA EU will know anything about you!

It is all about tax. It will not stop crime, it will just transform it. Criminals will open stores and claim drug sales are of legitimate products like coffee or capucchino as the mafia already does. So they will effectively still sell drugs, still launder money, and still not get caught.

EU: 5th EU Anti-Money Laundering Directive published. AKA EU will know anything about you!

Mafia has fronts, so cashless society doesn't stop them from money laundering. They just claim to have capucchino shops that deliver and pizza shops. When a guy buys drugs they claim it was pizza on the terminals or coffee and there is no way to disprove it easily. None of these rules stop...

EU: 5th EU Anti-Money Laundering Directive published. AKA EU will know anything about you!

I feel sorry for people living in Europe, it seems like not only do they make more of these laws, but the speed at which they do is increasing so rapidly. I remember just in 2010 walking into banks in Norway and Finland as a tourism and depositing thousands of dollars as a non-eu resident and no...

Did anyone notice that Belize abolished their offshore regime in October 2019?

If you want non-enforcement, just go to a place like Liberia or Congo, where it is so poor, civil servants aren't even paid half the time and you can basically buy off the bank manager with $500 in cash. None of the CRS rules will apply to you, not even facta, you will just have an account that...

Lebanon for Banking Secrecy and Offshore?

Why is Lebanon considered a jurisidiction with banking secrecy then, and what of its banking secrecy act of the 1950s. Like I'm thinking in terms of asset protection, so I'm not worried about tax crs?

Structure to irrevocably gift to future descendants?

How much money are you gifting, maybe you are better off just holding onto it, getting a good will, and giving them some of it now.

Have you transferred business ownership after creating the bank account?

I think it would work, but the issue is from an asset protection viewpoint the account is still in the name of the company who you initially opened it in and is therefore subject to court order. I am currently researching and exploring the concept of making yourself a trustee over accounts for...

Cook Islands now taxing @ 20%?

EU is a global menace, I am now routing for Brexit, they are destroying all the offshore centers and making taxes be implemented everywhere that are at high EU like rates. Many of these places flip and flop between doing as the EU says then doing what they want and go on and off the black list...

What's considered the best way to keep private the UBO in 2020?

So exactly what was it in the bearer shares that got them banned everywhere. I had no knowledge of what it was used for negatively.

What's considered the best way to keep private the UBO in 2020?

Ok, I'm not so concerned with them even finding the bank, they'd have a hard time doing it from scratch and I'd use private banker. I don't even care that much if the bank knows who the UBO is, but more so to make it hard for the ambulance chaser to find a government database/list of...

What's considered the best way to keep private the UBO in 2020?

I'm very confused, either you answered a question I didn't ask, or you have some insight that is either very obvious or profound that I'm over looking. I'm talking about a holding company more so than one with actual employees. Its really only purpose would be storing money in bank account or...

Which countries don't have public UBO registers?

People laugh, but it is a good strategy, although I'd prefer to use someone where there is some continuity, like an small accounting firm or small law firm. That way if the person dies you're not but out.

What's considered the best way to keep private the UBO in 2020?

Which setup. I know there are things like trust, ibcs, llcs, nominee directors, even nominee shareholders. But which combination of these provides the best way of keeping private the UBO/ true shareholder from private snoops, creditors, exes, friends, private investigators etc. (essentially...

    EU asset protection

Avoid Liechtenstein, it is a grossly corrupt jurisdiction probably the worse one, run by a dictatorship and the courts have defended trustees who stole from the beneficiaries of a billionaire and locked them out of their own money, your assets are not safe there.

EU Passport without TIN -- Heavenly Situation?

If you truly wanted to evade crs, just do business out of a trust account. As in go to the bank, claim you are holding the money in trust for customers, which are offshore llcs you control with nominees and all. Have documents in tow and all that.
