Personal Bank account in Thailand/EMI accepting Thailand address

Right now on a multi-entry tourist, looking at options for long stay visas looks like they will introduce some 5 year visas DTV soon so not rushing to spend a load of money on elite. Would like to be able to use QR payments here instead of cash and have a proof of address at hand as well. I saw...

Personal Bank account in Thailand/EMI accepting Thailand address

Hi, I am looking to open a personal bank account in Thailand, local banks refused due to not having a work permit, at least where I tried in Bangkok. Any suggestions? Is there any other EMI than Wise that accepts Thai address and has personal accounts? Revolut does not. Last edited: May 29, 2024

    Spain double taxation

@armdom64 legally if you live in Spain you can't not pay taxes in Spain. If you are an EU citizen and don't register in Spain, just live there as a 'tourist' maybe you can go unnoticed, there were plenty doing so living in Airbnbs and such, especially Brits before Brexit but it's not legal. It's...

For those of you who have Singapore Companies

Yes everything is done online, no papers, no couriers. No idea about this one, my corporate service provider wouldn't go down the no remittance path, they quoted various other things and reasons why I need to pay tax in SG. May be pretty hard to find someone to do that, Sovreign recommended by...

Zero tax option for software development with access to EMI

I paid around 4k tax becaus I wrote off bucket loads of expenses but that will double next year due to the end of the startup tax exemption. There is some accounting work since I am doing my best to expense everything I can . I am pretty much decided on a US LLC unless you have a better option.

Zero tax option for software development with access to EMI

Moved away in the mean time for a few reasons, I am aware of CFC, local accountants where I lived couldn't even tell me what those were, one didn't even want to deal with me because it was out of his comfort zone/expertise so it is what it is, I tried to figure things out locally and abandoned...

Is it possible to create an offshore company in someone else's name?

@Forester as I said I'm not sure about Austria, I just mentioned the cases I was aware of where similar things worked. This may not work at all in AT or may work for a while, I guess if you are a tax payer with a high income year after year and you suddenly have no income to report or far less...

Zero tax option for software development with access to EMI

@JohnLocke I'm set up in Singapore and I'm paying around 4K for the corporate service provider (nominee, accounting, etc) + yearly tax. So far tax has been quite low due to writing off a lot of stuff as company expense and a temporary tax deduction but that will go away.

Is it possible to create an offshore company in someone else's name?

@Taskmaster001 I'm not sure how much is Austria checking things for foreign residents but I know of people who were self-employed in Romania (lump sum tax for IT which is gone now) and were physically working in the Czech Republic in an office as a contractor for year and had no issues or...

US LLC no ties to the US - can you get taxed by the IRS

I checked form 5472 and I see it asks for a few things: FTIN, if any (see instructions) Country(ies) under whose laws the ultimate indirect 25% foreign shareholder files an income tax return as a resident Country(ies) under whose laws the related party files an income tax return as a resident...

US LLC no ties to the US - can you get taxed by the IRS

@Sols regarding tax, definitely not looking to violate any tax laws, my concern was that although everywhere it's said non-resident US LLC with no US business or presence are not taxed by the US the agent tried to convince me that it's really random based on whoever from the IRS will look at...

US LLC no ties to the US - can you get taxed by the IRS

Hi, I spoke to an incorporation agent recently and he recommended me to stay away from US LLC (non-resident, no ties to the US) because: 1. The IRS is an absolute nightmare to deal with and even though I shouldn't pay US tax it will really depend on who from the IRS looks at the stuff I filed...

    General info on Tax optimization

In Spain they want more documents to write off a business lunch than than you need to incorporate a company in some countries I really suggest avoiding opening a company in Spain, it's a bureaucracy hell, accountants are often incompetent when it comes to international taxation or...

    Is Gibraltar a hidden champion?

I talked to an incorporation agent (Form-A-Co (Gibraltar) Limited ”“ Gibraltar Companies, Trusts, Yacht Registration, Residency, Offshore) about Gibraltar recently about a non resident company, and it seemed to require loads of paperwork, they pretty much wanted to know what I had for breakfast...

    AUD account for US LLC

I also found Zyla (Home) in case anyone is interested. It's the partner for WorldFirst for the US. @daniels27 I read around here about issues with banking for US LLCs recently for non-residents. Do you know if it is becoming an issue or banking is still pretty easy to solve?

Thailand - what can you use as proof of address for EMI/incorporation service

Wouldn't this pretty much go against GDPR and all possible privacy laws making it possible for a paying client of theirs to disclose and verify your personal information with various third party companies? A crap gas company wouldn't even want to update my details on email because of data...

US LLC + live in Thailand

Any risk of complaints from the IRS, mainly will it cause problems down the line? In Singapore it's perfectly fine to have personal expenses on the company card, or so I've been told and haven't had issues so far (you declare them as personal expense and they are not tax deductible, IRAS has an...
