    I don't think it will be within my lifetime that the EU introduces their digital coin as the sole means of payment. Or at least, I hope not. But things move quickly, and statistically, there are 30 years until I need to move into a one-room bunker. So maybe I will get to experience this coin...

    If you only use DAI or USDT for quick swaps as we have seen in another thread I don't believe the risk is very high. Just replace the receiver address everytime you make a transfer. It would stay there is a day or to or maybe only hours. You can't get an court order that fast.

    To me, it just sounds like more surveillance. Why should anyone trust a blockchain system controlled by Russia and China? I'd rather stick to Bitcoin and not touch the other stuff at all. It's probably the same as if the EU or Europe came out with a Eurocoin and expected us all to use it!
