Not to be! (If you trade from the comfort of your home why would you.. You would be the first one to start the trend, I don't think it will catch on)

No capital gains tax on the 250K I know a few traders and no one registers as self employed.

It's very easy, you just have to go to Cyprus, rent a property, and with the contract you go to immigration and they will give you the "yellow slip" which is your residency permit. If you don't become a Non-dom, then you have to stay in Cyprus for 6 months in each calendar year, to be able to...

Euro Pacific bank is a scam

The 7 witnesses need to testify if there is a trail against OCIF/Commissioner. The reasons behind the closing of the bank are irrelevant, what matters is that she closed the bank by using the "insolvency" excuse when all she needed to do is allowed you to put in more capital.

Euro Pacific bank is a scam

I need to watch the press conference again to refresh my memory, but I do remember the Commissioner saying over and over that the bank was "insolvente" and that she was closing the bank to protect the customers. When the press conference came out, I translated all the Spanish part into English...

I only trade futures, so I have no idea about bonds and the interest, but I imagine interest are treated as foreign income, so I don't think there are taxes on that. Also there is no withholding on foreign dividends in Cyprus. Of course if you generate dividends in the US you're subject to the...

Good question... everybody wants you to form a company, that's how they make money, but there is no need to have a company, no need to be a Non-dom, just a resident and off you go (there is no capital gains tax in Cyprus as an individual).

Cyprus is full of traders, they all go there to stop paying capital gains tax. Also no taxes if you move to Panama, plenty of traders there as well.

Euro Pacific bank is a scam

I've watched the press conference a few times, and I speak Spanish, so I understand everything she said, and she lied a few times. It was insulting to say the least. There was no reason for the press conference, it destroyed our chances of getting our money back any time soon. She should be...

Euro Pacific bank is a scam

I would file the lawsuit, if you win you will prove that everything was just a conspiracy and there was no legitimate reason to close the bank, and it will send a very strong message. Whatever money you get, it will be up to you to decide what to do with it, you can always give it to charity.

Finally you have decided to take action, I fully support the decision. The one that you have the best chance of winning is against the OCIF. The Commissioner is the key person, she is responsible for everything that's happened to your bank.

"Maybe", although Silver has been going down during the last week. I wonder where the Silver is, or what's happened to it as we were told that Qenta can only keep the Gold, not the Silver. I would like for everything that I have to be liquidated and get the heck out of there, I just want to...

Thailand Capital Gains Tax on "Foreign Sourced Gains"

Sure, you can get it back. You just need to show that you haven't been there 60 days per year, and that you want to restart your Non-dom status once again. Immigration will be able to tell you how many years you have left, hopefully you still have a few years out of the 17 years. Best of luck

If you haven't been there 60 days per year, you have lost your Non-dom status.

My Thai tax advisor is telling me the same.

Thailand Capital Gains Tax on "Foreign Sourced Gains"

Non-dom program is good for 17 years. It's better that you contact a tax advisor in Cyprus to go over your situation and find a way to get paid the dividends. The worst that can happen is that you'll have to change the setup of your company, remove yourself as an employee and become the owner...

Thailand Capital Gains Tax on "Foreign Sourced Gains"

Let's see, if you're a tax resident in Cyprus and you manage a Cyprus company, the maximum you'll ever pay on dividends is 4,770€ (2.65% on up to 180K euros) Cyprus Corporate tax is 12.5%, so what you do, and what everyone is doing, you pay yourself a very low salary, less than 19,500€ per...

Thailand Capital Gains Tax on "Foreign Sourced Gains"

It's 2.65% up to a maximum of 4,770€ per year, so if you make a lot on dividends you'll never pay more than that (that's equivalent to 180K on dividends per year, anything above that you don't pay anything extra). And nothing else.... As long as you stay there for 60 days per year as a non-dom.

Thank you, but Qenta told us that we can't keep Silver, only Gold. Whatever Silver I had, about $100K, I supposed has been liquidated by Qenta? I'll check with them but they don't seem to be answering emails.

Thank you, please check if I can tell Qenta to liquidate all my shares. I also don't know if the Silver is with Qenta, or somewhere else, I would like to liquidate that as well.
