How to become tax resident in Thailand? (I got rejected)

Furthermore, you could move these dividends to non Thai tax resident relatives who can gift you tax-free in Thailand.

Thailand new change - world wide income at Thai tax levels to be taxed

They can announce and implement any law or new rule they fancy... as long as they continue not enforcing anything, either by lack of means or real willingness, I'm fine and not paying either.

Where would you move if you had a Family?

Marketing at its best. On one hand they announce tax crackdowns that they will never be able to enforce, on the other implement new visas rules with easier requirements enlarging the scope and stay of foreigners. That's why it's called Amazing Thailand!

    I'm still looking too.

Total return by asset for last 200 years

Sure. When I want to lump sum invest trying to time the market I'd rather go with high volatility assets with rising identified pattern where "long term" is relatively not that long. BTC is (still) one. At the end of the day, investing is just a matter of conviction.

Total return by asset for last 200 years

That's where DCA gets more interesting. Instead of investing a lump sum end of 1999, divide your capital and DCA over a couple of years hence averaging down your cost per share. Break-even point will come way quicker in case of long bear market. Granted that for genuine astrologists and other...

Total return by asset for last 200 years

The main issue with this strategy is that we (except a couple of demigods on this forum) don't have forever time.

Any strategy to mitigate sequence of returns risk, and avoid selling during bear market?

Something that has not 200 years history yet to compare with.

Thailand Capital Gains Tax on "Foreign Sourced Gains"

Agreed, although I found that the countries offering the highest degree of certainty are more than often the ones with the highest tax rates. Certainty comes with a price.

Thailand Capital Gains Tax on "Foreign Sourced Gains"

Yep. For those looking for certainty and constancy Thailand is not the place to be.... the other side of the coin being flexibility and still kind of freedom compared to other well-developed countries. Anyhow individuals, and it's backed by figures, who pay taxes in Thailand are either because...

    UAE banking and crypto

Indeed. Anyone who can deposit several millions $ from legit crypto will certainly be able to open an account contacting directly a high street or private bank in CH, SG or HK. No middleman is needed.

Mind you share the name of the Swiss bank? No fees to cash-out? How much money you need to maintain in this bank in order to keep the personal bank account open?

US LLC + live in Thailand

Agreed. If you keep low profile there is no enforcement, and if ever caught you can easily get by with a small fee/bribe. That is why the extra offshore LLC manager layer is unnecessary in Thailand.

US LLC + live in Thailand

My point is in Thailand you could fall because they first suspect you to work illegally (cases can be found), not for tax evasion managing (establishing PE) your LLC (no case found). Showing records of your LLC manager working abroad won't be of any help if they somehow suspect you working.

US LLC + live in Thailand

How having someone outside Thailand managing your LLC will clear you from potential issue with Thai authority? Unless US IRS send LLC information to your country of residence tax authority (do they?), the only way you could get in trouble is because Thai Immigration suspects with proof that you...
