ByBit hacked 1,4billions $ stolen ( in ETH).

https://www.trmlabs.com/post/the-bybit-hack-following-north-koreas-largest-exploit "Initially, portions of the stolen Ethereum were routed through networks such as Binance Smart Chain and Solana, but the majority has now been converted directly into Bitcoin. Despite the swift movement of...

How likely is it that other countries will increase their Golden Visa requirements if this goes through?

ByBit hacked 1,4billions $ stolen ( in ETH).

I get the skepticism about conspiracy theories, but in this case, dismissing insider involvement seems premature. The Verichains and Sygnia reports lay out a clear, sophisticated attack, but they also leave questions unanswered. This wasn't some random, opportunistic exploit. The malicious...

You'd think so, but regulations are actually pushing banks to collect even more data. Take the Netherlands for example, the government is pushing Telcos to share call data with banks under the excuse of fighting technical support scams. It's a slippery slope, and it's hard to ignore the bigger...

Yes it would work. As long as it is not carrier locked. Pixel 6 is supported until at least october 2026.

For eSIM you need privileged Google Play Services. But it works just like any regular dual SIM setup. I would bet my money on Google.

Not a silly question at all. Once you activate a profile, it stays active until you manually close the session. While the session is active, the profile remains online and continues receiving messages. There's also an explicit option to keep the session running in the background. Additionally...

I have about a dozen banking apps that work without SafetyNet. The few apps that I cannot use on my Pixel, I just download on another device. But the majority works fine. You could also have a look at: https://plexus.techlore.tech. Yes, I segregate everything by profiles. You can manage app...

Almost 0 drawbacks, especially since you can run your 'evil' apps in a separate profile with Google Play Services enabled. I have not run into problems since first installing it ±5 years ago. It has become a lot more usable in the pas 2-3 years, and for quirks I can rely on my other devices.

Question Protecting Your Site from DMCA & Powerless Scenarios?

I haven't dealt with this scenario as their customer. Usually the provider will limit or suspend you, then inform you about this. This is also heavily dependent on what you are hosting and the customer tier you are in. Big accounts get the benefit of the doubt.

Question Protecting Your Site from DMCA & Powerless Scenarios?

As @daniels27 mentioned, they will not leak the origin IP. But they will probably blacklist it, and same goes for your domain name. So you would have to start over with a clean setup. They used to be very flexible, but nowadays they will comply faster to legal requests. Depending on who files...

Question Protecting Your Site from DMCA & Powerless Scenarios?

You could be suspended by the provider as well, but generally, they prioritize targeting domain names first. Some registrars have automated takedown processes to the extent that multiple reports from certain sources can trigger an automatic domain suspension. However, if your registrar is known...

China's Opensource Deepseek outperforms OpenAI GPT-4o

I think the overall sentiment is that we're pleased with the rise of highly capable open-source models, especially considering the massive progress made since GPT-3 and GPT-3.5. When it comes to China, it's the same as always. I don't have to agree with them ideologically to recognize their...

Where to get crypto news around the clock when they are news and not late?

Like @JackAlabama and @donna4 pointed out, usually Reddit/Telegram/Discord/X communities. It takes time to find them, because most of them are run by teenagers who try to scam their communities. Last edited: Jan 27, 2025

China's Opensource Deepseek outperforms OpenAI GPT-4o

I agree with you on principle, China does what China does. But the model is open source and this will result in accessibility in the long run. Which hopefully means we can run high-quality models locally on affordable hardware instead of relying on cloud solutions. Plus you can run models that...
