Where would you live once you are happy with your passive income?

What's the source of the pollution in Florence? Air pollution from industry or high density of population (cars)? In your opinion what would be the best place to live in Italy (taking everything into an account)?

Where would you live once you are happy with your passive income?

I think that Cyprus has it at 15% so it's the same rate as Spain. https://taxsummaries.pwc.com/united-states/corporate/withholding-taxes I think that 19% is for Spanish companies (if you get dividends from companies in Spain) not for US. Last edited: Oct 11, 2023

How come? Let's say you get 20k USD/year from publicly listed US companies as dividends. How much tax would you pay in Spain vs Cyprus?

    best country for cash

The guy checked my 50 EUR bills to see if they were fakes using machine before putting these in cash register. And this took place before COVID (so like 4 years ago or so). About Hungary: I used to see a lot of Russians in Hungarian banks opening accounts (especially in MKB Bank) even before...

    FZCO audit

Yes, but dividends are paid from profits (after tax) so they do not lower the taxable income/tax (like expenses, salary or allowances do).

I guess that in Spain you have more options as it's a huge country (compared to Cyprus) and you could find cheaper places to buy/rent. Also you could buy a lot of locally produced items that are cheaper and in Cyprus 90%+ of items are imported so it makes them more expensive. (on top or influx...

Best European country for real estate investment?

Spain is risky because of the squatters. I just read on Twitter the other day that a guy can't get them evicted after 2 years and has to pay their utility bills. He has the insurance against (???) it but it only covers the legal bills (attorneys as court takes couple of years) but not the other...

    best country for cash

Couple years ago I was in Mango store in the Netherlands. I picked 2-3 items and the bill was 100 EUR (or 99.97 or so). I hand over the 100 EUR bill and the guy working there says he can't accept it! (It's because ATMs will give you only 50 EUR bills and 100 EUR bills are already "suspicious"...

Yes, going somewhere because you HAVE to do it is no fun. In your case - just go to Spain, pay taxes and enjoy it!

Hong Kong Company Bank account? (Real Bank)

Have you checked this: https://statrys.com/hong-kong-company-registrationNot sure what bank account they offer but might be interesting. Also why not open an EMI and bank account somewhere else (like CIM in Switzerland). You collect all money with EMI and move majority to bank account and...

Where would you live once you are happy with your passive income?

If you hold a lot of US stocks that pay you dividends you need to make sure that there is a DTT with the country you plan to move to and US so you do not end up double taxed (30% withholding tax in US and then in the country with dividend tax). Spain has one so that's not the issue but still...

Hong Kong Provisional Profit Tax? WTF is this?

There is something somewhat similar in Cyprus as well. There you need to asses the amount of profit you'll have in the next year and pre-pay tax OR you can pay it once it's due (no pre-payment) BUT then you'll pay 1% extra on top (so the 12.5% tax becomes 13.75%).

    Best EMI for cash withdrawals?

I've used it mostly for USD. Never had EUR there so not really sure how it works with EUR to be honest.
