    Lifestyle Real Estate Investing

I don't know about your story (I wish you would share more of it!) but I would ve definitely been way more wealthy if I invested in real estate back in 2008. With a 50k cash down you could've made 200k in plus value within 2.5 years buying a condo downtown.

Panama vs. UAE Residency: Is Panama Still Worth It?

You don't have to fill personal, unless you'd want to apply for a mortgage or citizenship, from what I know. Maybe you do and it's not enforced, I'm not sure.

Panama vs. UAE Residency: Is Panama Still Worth It?

183 for having to file personal income taxes. Which ever country you spend 183 days a year is your tax residency, even if you're not legally a resident there. Yes, I believe so. But if you are living 183 days a year in Panama you'd have to file personal income tax, also when you transfer...

Panama vs. UAE Residency: Is Panama Still Worth It?

gotcha. As for Colon I was talking about the city of Colon, not the province of Colon. The city of Colon is sketchy in the daytime. You can go there by taking the train from Panama City. You'll get the vibe when you get off there. A whole province couldn't be all sketchy (maybe the darien...

Panama vs. UAE Residency: Is Panama Still Worth It?

Been living 10+ years in those countries, you build relationships with a few serious professionals that don't try to screw you over because they understand the value of quality work and return business and they get things done, and when they tell me it's going to be difficult and maybe its...

Panama vs. UAE Residency: Is Panama Still Worth It?

oh yeah, Colon is a different story. Even daytime you gotta watch your back and keep your hands in your pockets. But unless you're running import-export business, there's no reason to go there. I'm just quoting this from 2 separate, very experienced immigration lawyers who live in Panama, so...

Panama vs. UAE Residency: Is Panama Still Worth It?

yeah, the new presidents are less pro-expats. That's also in the same line of why they closed the friendly nation residency process. Before you could get residency in 6 months just starting a business and puting 5k in an account. Now you need to invest 6 figures in the country,

Panama vs. UAE Residency: Is Panama Still Worth It?

Yeah Panama City and David are very safe in my opinion. I've walked at midnight to go get some food. Some girls working the corners but I never felt in danger. I do watch around just in case.. Casco Viejo is the old town, super safe, the president's house is there so guards every corners. Some...

Can you invest your profits from your US LLC (as a non-resident) into a brokerage account (ex Charles Schwabs in the US) tax free? Or how do you transfer the profits from your US LLC to you personally if you can't have a personal bank account in the US? You invoice your own company for...

From what I've read, one needs to be have a social security number, to open a registered account. The amounts are limited to a small % of your declared income from the previous year and once you become a non-resident you can keep the account but can not add any more funds to it.
