    Moving to Dubai

Thanks. It's part of the package so they'll be assisting. But it's always just great to hear "real world stories" and what actually works and different perspective, rather than just relying on your service provider and nodding along.

    Moving to Dubai

Awesome thank you. It seems with the apartment, it can become a catch-22 situation. You need a bank account for the apartment, but in order to open the bank account you need a tenacy contract?

What's the best way to approach international calls to a landline? Any other major sites that are blocked to be aware of? (appreciate this is a broad question)

    Moving to Dubai

Super helpful. Thank you. I'm working with a good agent (so far!). Everything is setup and except for banking which I'll need to deal with onsite. Any insight on VPN usage, VoIP? If I've understood correctly Skype and similar are blocked but accessible via VPN.

I sometimes see that buying a property in Dubai with crypto is possible. How about renting? Is this common?

I'm relocating to Dubai in the next few weeks. Freezone company is setup. For those that have done the move, any practical tips to share? Examples: - For the initial period, is a hotel preferred over a serviced apartment or hotel? - Sim cards: any particular preference for Du, Virigin or...

Need AED IBAN : Stripe with UAE company

Interesting. Thanks for sharing. But, I'm a bit cautious of doing this as Stripe require a UAE bank account and have a list of banks they work with. Being suspened from Stripe would suck.

    UAE Corporate Banking

Can someone share more information about opening a business bank account for a freezone company, specifically minimum deposit amounts, revenue? It seems the requirements are substantial. ADCB seems to require a business revenue of AED5M. HSBC requires a minimum monthly balance of AED100,000...

Bank or EMI for Europe to Dubai

Thanks for sharing. I'm still looking into options. Great to hear if others can share what they're doing for both personal and corporate use when it comes to EMIs outside of the UAE for receiving payments.

Bank or EMI for Europe to Dubai

Just wanted to follow up on this. Which EMIs do you recommend for business accounts (freezone company) when it comes to transfers to/from Europe and the UAE?

Bank or EMI for Europe to Dubai

My European bank does not allow bank transfers to the UAE so I'm looking at solutions. There's TransferWise, but what else? I've come across Mercury Global (not to be confused with Mercury, the US bank) but I can't seem to find much on them. What other options are there that will allow large...

    Dubai business structure - definitions

Interesting. Thanks for the insight. I would assume that not having limited liability is quite a disadvantage in setting up a FZE? Is there a way to be a single shareholder but have limited liability just as you would have in a normal LTD company set up in Europe?

    Dubai business structure - definitions

So if I understand correctly, regardless of which free zone is used to set up a company, as long as it's a single-shareholder entity, it's a FZE. Going deeper, does that mean a FZE does not have limited liability?

    Dubai business structure - definitions

Perhaps a silly question, but just want to make sure. I will need to use Stripe in order to accept payments. As per Stripe docs, they have different requirements depending on the business setup in Dubai. For sole establishments, branches of sole establishments and free zone establishments, the...
