    EuroPacific bank or Breder Suasso?

St Vincent and the Grenadines signed up for CRS, as most countries did. CRS mandates reporting between a number of member countries. What exactly is being reported depends on the jurisdiction but it is folly to expect to have money anywhere and expect to keep it secret nowadays.

    EuroPacific bank or Breder Suasso?

It is going to be hard to find too many banks who don't report information. Many countries have signed up for CRS, and through the AEOI and IGA, reporting on some level is likely a foregone conclusion.

Well, I can provide you all an objective update. 1. The bank account portion is great. Wires go in and out no problem. Support is good. Fees are a little high given that you earn no interest so consider it a means to just park cash. Now the brokerage - my opinion of it has changed to the point...

My bank in Germany told me it is nonsense with the exchange of information??

Germany implementing CRS this year. It is on the OECD website on its list of jurisdictions. Any real licensed bank in Germany would not only know about this, but would be complying. I would suggest talking with another person at the bank.

openning a business bank account remotely for LLC in U.S.

I am very curious what US bank would allow remote opening of accounts. I sat in person with a VP at a large US bank and she told me specifically US banking regulations require a person to open the account in person. The only exception I have seen to this rule is a credit union out of Illinois...

    Euro Pacific Bank Ltd

Well, some things I can think of off the top of my head...1. the bank is founded by Peter Schiff, who is a well respect economist in the US and head of a brokerage company. Peter is very well versed in economics. He stakes his reputation on his companies. 2. It is a transaction only bank, which...

    Euro Pacific Bank Ltd

Awesome to hear. It is actually a pretty decent experience. They are responsive and I have been able to move money in and out no problems. The interface is basic, but functionality-wise, it has been very good. I have other accounts elsewhere where there are restrictions on withdrawal, or that...

What I am hoping to see with EPB is eventually have a mobile app, as well as a way to move money from brokerage to bank account without having to send the bank a message asking them to move and forth. For same owner of both accounts, it should be instantaneous. All that being said, I have had...

USA Bank Account for Offshore company how?

How the heck do you have an account at BB&T? I tried applying for an account two years ago and last year and they told me they only open accounts for US residents of 15 states.

    Euro Pacific Bank Ltd

Hi Suzy - correct, EPB would be for parking money and also if you want to trade stocks on any of the major exchanges, you can use their brokerage. They also have other products like gold backed debit card and buying physical gold, etc., but I don't have any exposure to that - I just use the...

    Euro Pacific Bank Ltd

Since my original message, I have sent a wire out - and it was pretty straight forward - 24 hours later, the money was in Europe. Can save the outgoing info for next time. I also want to amend my original message as well - I would agree with the others here about the high fees. I have since...

    canada

Not sure, but one thing I do know is that things are not as easy as television and media make them seem. I mean, how many movies have we seen where someone wires 100 million into a foreign account and the other bad guy checks it 10 minutes later and it's all there and they start spending it. No...

Through AEOI and TIEA. Most of the countries in the world are signed up for AEOI. Personally I think secrecy is not what it once was.

Canada differs from the US specifically in the fact that Canada taxes its residents, whereas the US taxes its citizens. So you can live outside the US for 20+ years but still owe US taxes, as long as you are a US citizen. FATCA also applies in this case to US citizens living anywhere in the...

    usa/canada

FATCA does not apply to Canadians per se. But the key different you need to know is that the US taxes their citizens, whereas Canada taxes their residents. So anywhere you live in the world, as long as you are a US citizen you are on the hook for taxes...even if you have lived outside the US for...

    canada

If you become a taxpayer in Canada, the Canadian government legally requires you to report worldwide assets of $100,000 Cdn. or more, at any point in the year. Meaning if you have $95,000 Cdn. in your accounts but one day in the year it goes to $101,000, only to drop back to $90,000 the next...

    canada/third world

In Canada, you are legally obligated to report $100,000 Cdn. of foreign property/income/investments at any point in the year. And as similar in many countries, any single or combined transaction that is $10,000 Cdn. or more within a 24 hour period will flag a report to the financial authorities...

    Bank reference letter & anonymity

This is true. I applied for an offshore account in Europe a while back and had to get a bank reference letter. I went to my bank and they said they had to address it to the bank with which I am opening the account. I asked why and they said that's their process. When I told them, they asked me...
