Does Paypal report to the Greek tax authorities?

Hey folks... I know that, above a certain threshold, Paypal reports income to the IRS for USA entities. I have been looking for similar information regarding Greece, and can't find anything online. Do you know what the deal is? Preferably, I would appreciate a direct link to at least one...

Incorporating and *living* in Macedonia (FYROM) or Bulgaria?

Hi, folks... I live in Greece. It appears the only legitimate way to have a company in another country is to live in that country 183+ days/year (or use the Cyprus 60-day rule). I'm currently looking into relatively low cost options of countries close to Greece - like Macedonia (FYROM) or...

Company in "country A" while I live in "Country B" - doable?

Thanks for the reply. The country in question is Greece, so it does require a company owner to live in the same country the company is incorporated, in order to not challenge the tax residency of the company. Could you perhaps point me in the right direction, at present? Assuming I do reach...

Company in Estonia. I live in Greece. Company Tax residency?

I understand. Of course Estonia will want me as an e-resident, so money from my company will go in their banks. The problem isn't Estonia. It will be Greece challenging the company's tax residency. I understand this too. But the effective management of the company will still be done in Greece.

Company in "country A" while I live in "Country B" - doable?

Hi, folks... Let's say I have a company incorporated in "country A" while I live in "country B." Every post/article etc I have come across, says this: If I'm the sole owner of the company, I need to live in "country A" 183+ days of the year for the company to have a chance to be considered...

Company in Estonia. I live in Greece. Company Tax residency?

Hi guys... First of all, thanks for all the answers. Agreed. The problem is that Greece has extremely high taxes. And even some loopholes that existed have been closed and new loopholes that get discovered keep getting closed. Well, in that case, I will be required to pay taxes in Greece...

Affordable short-term accommodation abroad, for tax residency

Thanks for the responses! Hmmm”¦ I looked around for "apart hotel" and "hotel apartment" in the country I'm interested in (Cyprus). Every single result I found comes out to at least double the cost of what I could rent a "normal" apartment for. To be fair, I understand I'm looking for...

Affordable short-term accommodation abroad, for tax residency

Hello - hope you're well. As you know, in order to be a tax resident in a specific country, you need to spend at least 183 days of the year there. For example, let's say you live 6 months of the year (total) in "country A" and 6 months of the year (total) in "country B". This may be happening...

How will Greece challenge the tax residency of my Cyprus company?

Thanks for the reply. I work 100% online. Which might be another important point. What if Greek authorities say "why do you have a Cyprus company when you can be working from home from anywhere (including Greece)"? Do you mean something like: - Live in Cyprus 2 months of the year. - Live...

How will Greece challenge the tax residency of my Cyprus company?

Thanks for the replies, folks! I have cousins in Cyprus. I have parents, siblings and nephews in Greece. I don't have wife or kids yet. I will absolutely be paying the 12,5% Cyprus corporate tax, paying VAT, and having my books audited. I have asked many different accountants, lawyers...

How will Greece challenge the tax residency of my Cyprus company?

Haha - the roast on your part is more than justified. I was actually expecting much worse answers! Thanks for the reply! I understand your points, but here's the thing: I live in Greece and have family in Cyprus. Cyprus was the only country I could think of that has a somewhat ok tax regime...

How will Greece challenge the tax residency of my Cyprus company?

Hi, folks - hope you're well. I live in Greece, and have just registered a Cyprus company. I'm trying to do a *realistic* risk-benefit analysis of my options. I have some questions: 1) Does anyone know how often a country (Greece for example), starts investigating the tax residency of a...

Cyprus company - accounting and tax questions

Thanks for the reply. If I may ask, the woman subscribed to the Portugese social security as an independent "what" exactly? Shouldn't the Portugese government classify her as an employee, sole trador, or something else? Thanks!
