Revolut will report customers to tax authorities

@Martin Everson safe from them saying "We're closing/suspending your acct because you ignored our tax question." :) Being that Revolut can be very trigger-happy in that department. Yes, I read about your argument that TIN isn't required and the big govt know how to find you, and I totally...

Revolut will report customers to tax authorities

Brand new (personal) Revolut customer signed up in the EU. Told them my tax residency is in the US and put in my TIN during signup. (I have nothing to hide, don't plan to cycle more than maybe 2-3k Euros a yr for travel expenses). Got the email (same day) that "Hey your tax ID may be incorrect...

    Revolut EU vs US

Did it. Opened the EU version of Revolut (Standard/Free version), passed KYC & ID, Ok so far. But why am I seeing such crappy ratings for them in Trustpilot, should I be worried if I'm solely using these as a prepaid Visa card for travel spending? (I don't plan to make this be my "main" account...

    Revolut EU vs US

Thanks @SoNewToAllShit - my goal at least is to see what's out there besides Wise so I'll be looking for that list of EMIs somewhere on this forum. =)

    Revolut EU vs US

@kkein , not an EMI but Bunq (in the Netherlands) use TCCL to make non-EUR currency buckets available for their customers..this is pretty recent. They now have BGN, USD, GBP, CHF and PLN buckets available (in addition to their standard NL IBAN for EUR). All of those 5 currencies use the GB...

    Revolut EU vs US

Thanks @Martin Everson - so it's a multicurrency IBAN kindof like what The Currency Cloud Ltd (TCCL) does - unless Revolut uses them. For the Revolut EU where you get an LT IBAN, can that be used for domestic (SEPA) payment method? The Revolut Card works the same way as Wise Card correct? (you...

    multiple ibans EMI

I can attest my Bunq account has at least 3 distinct NL (Netherlands) IBANs and I could've probably opened more. For the 9.90Euro/mo plan, you can have up to 3 cards (Bunq Debit, Bunq Credit, Bunq Maestro). Also (new as of last month) Bunq now issues an additional GB IBAN (sort code+account...

    Revolut EU vs US

Looking seriously into Revolut (for personal btw - business is all taken care of) - if one qualifies to open Revolut in either the EU or US: Is it true that Revolut US does NOT provide the LT (Lithuania) IBAN, but Revolut EU does? Revolut EU provides a way to “open” GBP and USD currency...

    I need a spanish IBAN!

Not a bank, and probably not even an EMI, Tarjeta Spark is a reloadable (prepaid) Mastercard that comes with an ES (Spanish) IBAN - but it is a shared IBAN with a specific reference number which points to your account. You MUST give the reference all your payers (but in this case, OP wants to...

    Revolut US-based versus EU-based (difference?)

Thanks @cryptorium - that makes sense (about having SSN etc). Other than that, account feature-wise are pretty much identical, correct?

    Revolut US-based versus EU-based (difference?)

I thought I would know the difference but - if one can prove residency in both USA and EEA (US passport) - what are the pros and cons with Revolut account that are EU based vs US based? (i.e. what do you get with the EU-based that you don't get with the US-based, and vice versa?) I know the...

Which EMI has this BIN: 5161 80

@leonardomuti3 if it provides any clue, binlist.net thinks this is a prepaid Business Mastercard issued in the UK. Add another digit to 516180 (e.g. 5161801, 5161802, etc) and it will attempt to guess it. Hope that helps narrow it down as you look for EMIs (for Business account) with this BIN...
