Euro Pacific bank is a scam

Unfortunately the money is frozen in Portugal is my understanding. OCIF/Receiver can't get the money back from there for depositors. I have asked about alternative ways that EPB could possibly reimburse customers other than through using the Portuguese correspondent bank.

Euro Pacific bank is a scam

Well some of us have attempted to contact OCIF/The Receiver. I suspect that if they did reply to any customers they would say it's not their fault you don't have your money. It's left Puerto Rico, it's stuck in Portugal. Yes we as individuals may not have accounts in Portugal. But...

Euro Pacific bank is a scam

Perhaps we need to start approaching Portuguese lawyers who are prepared to act for depositors in a class action lawsuit. I have no experience of Portuguese law and lawyers . Maybe others know a suitable law firm ? How we select the lawyer and apportion costs to each of us for his time is...

Euro Pacific bank is a scam

I see EPB wrote an email to all customers just saying all the usual old lines and a set of Frequently Asked Questions. But they didn't answer the most frequently asked question - will we ever get our money back !! It's such a long time with no news, no progress and poor communication.

Euro Pacific bank is a scam

Hi If we took legal action in Puerto Rico I am not sure who we would be taking the action against. Nobody in Puerto Rico is stopping us get our money. The money has left Puerto Rico is my legal understanding - but I am not sure - I don't know much about law either. That's why EPB/Peter Schiff...

Euro Pacific bank is a scam

Hi Seize Sorry to hear that you are in the same position as us. The obstacle appears to be in Portugal where the correspondent bank is. As stated EPB and Peter Schiff have hired a lawyer in Portugal on behalf of customers to try and resolve the problem at the correspondent bank. So far we have...

Euro Pacific bank is a scam

Unfortunately EPB is now managed by the Receiver. He seems to have every incentive to keep the liquidation process going on forever. EPB Customer Services said the Receiver would start replying to customer emails - that was back in January. Since then he hasn't replied to any of my emails. I...

Euro Pacific bank is a scam

I have written a number of times to EPB . Unfortunately they just reply with the usual bland statements they post on the EPB website. They claim not to know anything about the discussions between the Receiver and the correspondent bank. I am sure they do know more but they don't say anything...

Euro Pacific bank is a scam

Yes you're right Euro Pacific Bank which is now managed by the Receiver should be working hard to ensure customers receive their funds. As Peter Schiff has said above , a Portugese lawyer has been hired to help resolve the problem. But so far no apparent progress.

Euro Pacific bank is a scam

Hi At least they answered but passed you on to the Central Bank. Did you contact the Central Bank? I contacted the Head of OCIF and the Receiver but got no reply. I think if the freeze continues then I think customers have to consider their own legal action. Perhaps we can collectively use...

It might harm our chances of ever receiving our funds if you threaten to tell all at a later date.

Euro Pacific bank is a scam

Yes you are right, communication has been poor from EPB/Qenta and Receiver. I wrote to the Receiver on many occasions - EPB customer services said he would reply to customers - but no replies at all. Yes customers have waited long enough and charges on frozen accounts are outrageous. We don't...

Euro Pacific bank is a scam

I thought Peter Schiff/EPB already hired a lawyer in Portugal to deal with unfreezing the accounts. I don't know if our speculation here as to what is going on is helping our cause. Sometimes it's difficult to know what helps or hinders our case.

Euro Pacific bank is a scam

How can they keep freezing the account in perpetuity to make money out of us? In what way can that be legal or part of a correspondent bank agreement? If that is the case this is going to go on forever.

Euro Pacific bank is a scam

Yes thank you for coming here and communicating directly with customers. We do very much appreciate that. But Radko does make a good point. What is being done to make sure that this freeze on wire transfers doesn't just keep going on forever? Customers just feel helpless and powerless right...

Euro Pacific bank is a scam

Hi thanks for this , can you explain some of these emails, who we are writing to. I recognise the OCIF head person Natalie Zeqeuira and the Trustees of EPB . Who are the others? Thanks

Euro Pacific bank is a scam

Hi I am happy to write to OCIF and whoever else is involved. Do you have the email addresses? Do they ever reply to you?

Euro Pacific bank is a scam

It will be interesting to hear from you if you really manage to speak to the Receiver. I have called many times but the secretary always says he's not in the office, which I am sure is just a way of telling customers to go away. The Receiver has consistently not engaged with customers in any...

Euro Pacific bank is a scam

Peter Schiff is responsible for the bank having to stop trading but what's stopping us from receiving our funds is a freeze on the EPB account at Novo Bank.

Euro Pacific bank is a scam

Radko I am sorry you have reacted to information I believe to be accurate. Let me remind you I am a victim too. We should be sticking together and helping each other and trying to devise a strategy to get our funds back. If I name my source then I am not going to get any more information...
