What sort of employee did you hire (specialised or clerical? part-time of full-time?), and at what monthly/yearly cost?

    UK Ltd. yearly cost breakdown

Exactly. As a owner-managed LTD in the UK, it's a bloody joke. 19% CT, then losing my personal allowance and taxed on salary + dividends. Time to move elsewhere. It's just too much.

    UK Ltd. yearly cost breakdown

Honestly, it's not that much. £13 ”“ yearly confirmation statement filing £200 ”“ registered address for a year £2,000 ”“ accountant to file your CT (can be 1k, or 5k...) The #3 is optional as you can do it yourself via the amazing GOV.UK website, it really depends on how straightforward or...

    Bank account with Starling bank

If you are in good standing with your personal bank (e.g., NatWest), then they should be helpful in opening a business account as long as the business is legit and explained well. Most sole proprietors I have known in the UK got rejected by many for a business account except their own personal bank.

UK-resident incorporating in Singapore without drawing from it?

But Singapore may think the company is residing in Singapore, so how does this gets solved between UK's taxman and SG's? The double taxation agreement says that they should decide between themselves I believe, but do I need to "action" that somehow or should I pay to SG until (and if) UK's...

UK-resident incorporating in Singapore without drawing from it?

I would not move myself to SG for two years. So the company would be incorporated in SG, my UK LTD would be shut, but I would myself remain in the UK for two more years.

Advice on tax structure for owner-managed business (UK resident)?

It is a bad deal. Not that fussed with corporation tax, but very much bothered with income tax (salary and dividends). Bit too much.

Advice on tax structure for owner-managed business (UK resident)?

Alright, that's what I thought. Quite sad and frustrating but I guess, that's what staying in the UK cost. Thank you to all.

Advice on tax structure for owner-managed business (UK resident)?

The thing is, the £150,000 of profits increase every year. I am currently basically paying myself £60k (12.5 salary + 50k dividends) per year and leaving the rest in the business. It truly makes me feel shitty to know that paying myself any more and I'll be paying tens of thousands in taxes...

Advice on tax structure for owner-managed business (UK resident)?

offshore structure for European Amazon FBA business

Aren't you worried about the "central control and management" of your Cypriot company? It is partially controlled from Scandinavia which would, I assume, make the company liable to corporation tax over there, too? I understand why you want secrecy but you would need to issue dividends to...

Where to live with max 0-5% total tax

Not sure where you are based but for most premium western countries, the corporation tax doesn't just fall on locally registered companies. Meaning, you could still be liable to pay corporation tax there if the company is "centrally controlled and managed" there. So you can't just setup a...

UK Tax Resident with LTD – what possible tax savings and structures?

The thing is, my income is not high enough to justify or even allow for more complex structures. Most of them are basically coming down to some sort of transfer pricing and/or licensing, IP. As per setting up the company offshore, it is totally doable but the key part is to have substantial...
