limit personal liability? Yes, true. But this is not the US. People leave each other alone.
Life more flexible? Hell no. Unless by flexible you mean dealing with lawyers and compliance requirements.....
I took advantage of the Friendly nations visa before covid when it led to permanent residency right away. Now its still doable but you get temporary for 2 years, then permanent.
I live in Panama permanently but i believe 1 day every 2 years not to lose the status.
I spend less than 25K per year living here xDD. I like going to cafés, gym, beach & sex. No expensive bull2hit.
Edit: I forgot my chess club membership: 8$ / month with unlimited terrible coffee hahah

Yes I use a Panamanian Local Bank (Banco Aliado). Once a year I withdraw money from Tiger Brokers to it and thats it.
Also I didnt say it but no property taxes either. My apartment is < 120K so no taxes. My only expense house aside is health insurance with MAPFRE. 100$/month for 300K/year...
My case:
- Single guy no plan to have kids. Made some money back in Europe. Paid taxes for it. Moved to Panama and invested it all as an individual in dividend etfs stocks & etfs. I live off those dividends.
- I use Tiger Brokers to buy Singapore and HKG etfs & stocks. Dividend tax 0%.

Only if you move to a tax haven. Check the Spanish official list because it differs from the EU. For example, Panama is a Tax Haven for EU, but not for Spain.
Spanish residents dont have to declare anything as long as they use a Spanish broker. Once they use a foreign one (Ib, SQ, Tiger... ) They have to declare form 720 if assets > 50K €
With Tiger for deposits I use WISE or international transfers. Both ok.
For withdrawals I have to tell my 'bank officer': Hey, I am about to send 34500$ from my brokerage account. This is the screenshot of the order. He says ok thanks. After 12-36 h money is in the bank.
Also, no withdrawals to...
Both are pretty much the same in terms of commissions and services. FUTU doesnt reach the australian markets though.
I have used TIGR for 3 years now and pretty happy with them.
Both are supervised by the MAS (monetary authority of SIN), SEC, etc... All the holdings are held in custodian...
Up Fintech (Tiger brokers) is registered in Cayman so they will probably open the account. IB is a shareholder of them.
Cons: No european markets. Only US, HKG, SIN, AUS
Maybe try reach them out: [email protected]
You should have chosen another place to incorporate. Anyway, you can try your luck emailing all the popular US brokers
For more ideas we would need to know more about your situation
Hello,
I have read in many places that even though it is easy to apply for Panamanian citizenship after 5 years of permanent residency, you will never get it.
I have the possibility to apply for it in little time and I just want to know if anyone knows some real case of success.
Ty.
If I go to the swissquote website, the .ch seems to offer credit cards. When I use the app, it is .Lu the one offering them. Anyone knows which is the good one for this purpose?
You can try an Asian broker that will allow you to buy/sell in the US markets without issues on opening the account. The process is not inmediate though. Be patient. Some ideas:
Tiger brokers Singapore (Backed by IB & Xiaomi)
FUTU hkg (Backed by tencent)
