I opened mine some years ago, but got a checkbook. Maybe they have stopped that, did they say that? But they still give you a debit card?

bypass 30 percent withholding tax for royalties

How can that be? I thought you confirmed that a UK ltd owned by a non resident can't avoid the 30% withholding tax, and will also pay the 19/25% UK tax, but that can get a deduction from the 30% paid in the US. So the total tax would be 30%.

bypass 30 percent withholding tax for royalties

Do you mean that if the UK company doesn't claim treaty benefits then it doesn't have to pay UK corporate tax on the income? Or would have to pay both 30% royalties and 25% UK tax?

Having to pay taxes on purchases because my company was not VAT registered.

Independently of OP's situation, my point was to point out that a non VAT registered business might have to pay VAT to the local tax office when buying services from abroad. This can be good to know about, it seems several posters in in this tread are not aware of this. Whiile there might be...

Having to pay taxes on purchases because my company was not VAT registered.

Ok, calm down and try to talk about the facts. I think you're wrong as you're only mentioned rules on goods, and not on services. On what point do you think I'm wrong? I interpreted from OP post that he was buying services. As buying services as a non VAT registered business there is a potential...

Having to pay taxes on purchases because my company was not VAT registered.

Here is a short summary by chatgpt, look at point 2c, and the conclusion. We don't know all the details about OP's case. But this seems to be what the bulgarian tax authorities are wanting. When a company that is not registered for VAT buys services from another company, VAT implications depend...

Having to pay taxes on purchases because my company was not VAT registered.

It's not (profit) tax, it's VAT. Services sold/bought between businesses is considered to be delivered where the customer belong. That means you have to pay VAT when buying a service from another company, even when outside the EU. If your company is VAT registered these purchases are zero rated...

Are salaries paid from a UK LTD to a non-resident director taxed in the UK?

I've done this for many years, after doing a lot of research and asking several accountants. There are some mixed opinions, some saying that you need to run payroll and use the NT code (and paying no tax and no NI), while others say it's not necessary. I've never been audited so no personal...

Are salaries paid from a UK LTD to a non-resident director taxed in the UK?

The first question is from a UK national that is moving from the UK. End of January to File 1099 Forms for US LLC

I think you should file if you hired a US contractor and paid for services performed in the US. Not required if you paid another NRA (non US source income). And no 1099 for sale of goods, it's only for services.

Digital Nomad Perpetual Traveler + Apartment in Cyprus = tax ?

Do you mean that he's tax resident in Germany because he has a place to stay available in Cyprus? That doesn't make much sense. Or did you think read it as he suggested to have a place available in Germany?
