    Had a bank account in 2017 with ABSA as a non-resident. It was a complete nightmare, i canceled it after 3 months. I tried before with Standard bank and Ned bank both refused me with no reason.

    Went last week to Armenia to open a bank account in their main office in Yerevan. Strong KYC questions. But with a good business strategy they will accept. Visa debit card was ready in two hours (6 euro extra) next to AMD a euro and dollar accounts was not a problem.

    Yes, Bulgaria doesn't care much if your there or not as long your paying your taxes . I'm around 60/80 days each year in bg the rest I'm travelling around the globe. And I know more people who doing same with even less days in the country and never experienced any issue.

    If your not a resident (and asume non eu?) it's extreme hard to open. If you have a company already you can set up a branch in Bulgaria and then it might work.

    I used firm24 in the past they have contracts with allot of notarial offices trough Holland. And they have very affordable prices in my opinion.

    I'm currently banking with DSK and credit bull bank. Both are not bad and also not great. But they do the job. To open a bank account goes quite quickly. (Max 1 or 2 days) and card creation (visa/MasterCard) takes about 4 a 5 days.
