Can you imagine someone withdrawing large amounts of money from the bank by 31 December? 10k is one thing, 100k or more is another. If you withdraw it to another account it will probably be on CRS, and withdraw to save it would be a lot of work !!

CRS only reports your account balance on 31th December! If you have zero balance, they will report zero balance! But yes, i think you must be careful with withdrawing.. I am on the same situation.. 2 in 2 days, i withdraw 400€ from ATM!

yes, that is true, but if you have a zero balance at the end of the year, it wont get tax offices attention .. i suppose.. :P
