    The problem is that after 11 days my funds haven't cleared and TransferWise support isn't very confident that it will. I have no doubt that Swift receipts work for many (most?) cases, all I'm saying is that it isn't guaranteed to clear.

    How is my experience misinformation? I made payments to newly opened N26, Paysera and TransferWise accounts within minutes of each other. The N26 and Paysera funds reflected the following day. It is now 11 days later and still no sign of the payment sent to TransferWise.

    I made a test payment from my local (non-SEPA) account 10 days ago and it hasn't reflected in my TransferWise account yet so I am fully expecting it to bounce back to my local bank.
