    Where are online transactions deemed to have taken place for tax purposes? i.e. If seller is located in Country A and client buys online from Country B, where did the transaction take place? Is this a foreign-sourced income for the seller?

    Residency has to do with where are you are physically, not some piece of paper. You can have residency on Mars but if you stay in a country you'll be taxed in that country.

    Very few countries determine tax residency based on whether you have a certificate from another country. For most it is a question of fact in terms of where you spent your time in the tax assessment period.
