For what it's worth, HSBC Expat in Jersey opened account for me in around a week, everything online. After the account was setup one of their guys called me for an intro call. Virtual card was available immediately, normal card took a while to arrive - like 2 months.

Are these just things imposed on non-residents? The population of Lichtenstein cannot possibly be made up ENTIRELY of millionaires. There has to be garbage men and cashiers and whatnot that would not meet these requirements.

Just for the record, i've been using Wise as a personal current account for around 7-8 months now - zero issues. I've also used it numerous times as a conduit or currency between two other personal accounts - moving money in, converting it, and immediately moving it out.

That is very good information, thank you. I know that in this case complete protection probably isn't 100% possible so really all that one can do is make it as difficult and costly as possible to go after assets.
