    If Not coinbase where?

By the way, here's some new technology: GitHub - iperov/DeepFaceLive: Real-time face swap for PC streaming or video calls Obviously not ready for prime time, yet, but interesting progress. Examples: DeepFaceLive/examples.md at master · iperov/DeepFaceLive DeepFaceLive/examples.md at master...

EU Proposes Law To KYC All Wallet Transfers

Haven't read the thread and haven't read the particular article linked, but this is just about transfers between custodial wallets. Who cares, that part of crypto is fucked anyway. The "serious" part starts once they've locked down the custodial system, everyone has stopped using it, and they...

2nd citizenship for 0% tax crypto scheme from @CaptK1

This is going to be the deciding factor. Not sure if anyone here knows Swiss law well enough or cares to research it for you. If not, I'm sure a Swiss tax lawyer would be able to provide reliable information.

    Do cryptocurrency exchanges implement CRS/FATCA?

Cyber gangs typically use WiFi antennas to crack Wifis far from their own location. Deep packet inspection doesn't help against E2E encryption.

    Do cryptocurrency exchanges implement CRS/FATCA?

If you don't know at all what you're doing, you indeed can't assume privacy. Even if you know what you're doing, you won't stay anonymous if a government is staffing a cyber intelligence team to find you. Look at the Eastern European cyber crime gangs who only operate over cracked WiFis with Tor...

I currently have €30k in Kraken and €30k in Binance, how secure is that?

No strong reason to limit transfers to/from the hardware wallet. For incoming transfers, you just make sure to never reuse an address. You can generate an unlimited number of addresses for free, and reusing addresses is considered bad practice. I think reuse is only acceptable if the payment...

Options to save crypto taxes in Germany

So I was right ... if he/she can time the payment of the tokens (to coincide with low prices), that would reduce taxes legally. Then just wait for 1 year, and the appreciation is tax free.

    Do cryptocurrency exchanges implement CRS/FATCA?

Woah, that's next level. But a great idea. Love the Monero community's resiliency and ideological alignment. I wish more of the developers would have stayed pseudonymous in the first place. It's what saved Satoshi. Governments would certainly have harassed him for something.

German taxes based on nationality like USA

The problem is that most people probably wouldn't care too much. Only a minority of people would leave their home country due to tax changes. The rest is happy that someone in a different country is subsidizing them. Unfair system.

I currently have €30k in Kraken and €30k in Binance, how secure is that?

The problem is that people's home addresses got leaked ... so now people are afraid of getting robbed / threatened / extorted / etc. There are class action lawsuits against Ledger as a result. The hardware itself is safe.

You may not want to. If you do, read the sentence that follows.

German taxes based on nationality like USA

Sometimes it's about existence of good alternatives. Even the USA is turning into a Soviet Union right now. Seems fashionable these days.

TransferWise CRS reporting if residency from non comitting country

I understand that institutions look at this data for fraud prevention and marketing purposes. My question was different, though.

Options to save crypto taxes in Germany

I don't know the tax law in Germany, but my understanding is that taxes on employment income are generally difficult to avoid. If they pay you a fixed number of tokens (vs. a fixed Euro equivalent), maybe there's a way you can take payment when prices dump temporarily. If Germany is like other...

New FATF cryptocurrency regulate guidance is totally disaster!

Define "best". It is the most popular one (highest volume / market cap). Personally, I would prefer DAI, though. And yes, Tether didn't (have to) admit to any wrongdoing. What you quoted is just this NYAG lady ranting, because she couldn't prove anything. Her statement has no relevance.

TransferWise CRS reporting if residency from non comitting country

Do financial institutions perform routine checks that they are not required to perform? As far as I know things like IP address, geolocation, and card usage are not official indicia. Not sure why they would be interested in making their customer's lives difficult if they are not legally required...

New FATF cryptocurrency regulate guidance is totally disaster!

This has been resolved earlier this year. They paid a small fine but didn't have to admit to any wrongdoing. Besides, there are many other stablecoins backed by all kinds of stuff, not just USD bank accounts.
