    Recommendation Malta or Cyprus?

It is not about cyprus side. It is about your home country! They wont give a s**t about the cyprus certificate if all you can proof is 60 days there and probably even more days in another country or your home country. You can stay 200 days in cyprus and little things like owning a car, key to an...

    Recommendation Malta or Cyprus?

Most developed countries and as far as i remember cyprus had that too require a fair market salary because of the way dividends are taxed. otherwise nobody would pay income tax anymore but just pay everything in dividends to themselves. That can be low though but cyprus in general is quite...

Open an offshore bank account as sailor (freelancer)

careful, most of those will not be happy with you being a freelancer on personal accounts. almost all i think prohibit that and while they might not kick you right away that can happen any day. revolut business has a freelancer option and they also start from $0 if you dont need much or next...

The portuguese NHR status to live tax free in Portugal. Is it a scam?

Its not really a roulette system. It is very clear cut but well very clear cut to be passive income only. People just dont get the active vs passive income part and always think remote work is passive income although the client location has no bearing at all for this or they dont get that the...

US Tax Advisor specialized on non US residents.

Yeah i did hear and read about some banks offering secured entry level cards and specifically allowing you to build a credit score over time to then get you a real card if you are a non resident and dont have an ssn/ein.

I was specifically talking private account and yes that you can get without an EIN/SSN but no cards.

You can open bank accounts (Chase) without an EIN. You will not get a credit card though. That will require an EIN. Chase opened an account for me (private) with Google FI bill on a friends apartment without an issue. The guy was not sure first and called compliance and they green lit it on the...

CRS - AEOI - FACTA exchange informations to Malta

Frankly the system in Malta is so good, dont f**k with it. Do the classic Maltese LTD + external holding. Move / live on Malta, pay the 5k "expat" tax no questions asked and period. It does not get easier, cheaper, stress-free and legal in the EU. Sleeping well is a very underrated commodity.

CRS - AEOI - FACTA exchange informations to Malta

The 5% direct rule is not for the classic maltese active ltd + outside holding ltd i have been told.

US Tax Advisor specialized on non US residents.

Nobody here will tell you in detail. The tax code for this is very long and full of loopholes for both sides. In order to net get fucked by uncle sam US effective connected income is the keyword centering about a lot of things like US clients, working on US soil, how many days a year you spend...

Passthru LLC does not fly with partners anyways. "Aliens" as the most intelligent (multiple by -1) country in the world likes to name non-residents cannot be part (except for shadow shares) in a US LLC with US partners depending on tax election status.

Low tax burden life plan suggestion for freelancer

Yes that is what i wrote above concerning PT, foreign sourced income vs physical location and strict CFC etc. The 20% is also correct. The lowest you will get in PT legally is about 22% or so including everything. (2017 legal enquiries)

European remote worker look for low cost living and low tax

Yes but the countries that have the good tax efficient setups are not third world ones and quite expensive ;) Also the setups, accounting, filing etc would already eat up most of your salary. So any of those would really depend on you being very sure about those 500k and a plan to cash those...

Low tax burden life plan suggestion for freelancer

Yes exactly thats the provision. The other country (which must not be on the -long- blacklist and must adhere to OECD) must have the right to tax you but decline to do so and it must be passive income. Only then will PT not tax you on those foreign sourced earnings or tax you on a lower bracket...

European remote worker look for low cost living and low tax

biggest question i would see is that your only captial seems to be the shares which could be worth 500k or be worth nothing tomorrow. your salary does not support most tax efficient solutions in the EU or even just living in any of those countries. same goes for the travel. 2-3k is simply not...
