Has anyone problems with Chrome lately?

Superior in that you get answers that you need, rather than answers that Google thinks that you need! Try it out sometime.

Has anyone problems with Chrome lately?

I use Firefox, Opera and Brave. For searches I use Duckduckgo. Far superior to Google. Haven't used Google search for many years. But I still use Google location/maps when travelling. You have to switch on Location for this.

Can you find justice in a courtroom?

I work in Italy and one thing I have learned is to stay well clear of any problems that require lawyers. The only time we used a lawyer rather than a Notario (solicitor) was to certify some photocopies in English. Contact me if you ever need a very friendly English-speaking lawyer in Milano...

    proton (BTC) wallet

-- 'we have a few generations of "adults" who think their money is a credit/debit card and consider cash a boomer thing' -- Yes, and what I find amazing is that all this information from cards and store loyalty cards is sucked into servers 'the cloud' and available to anyone who wants it. All...

I'm still learning about this. Which exchange/ wallet would you recommend for full control/privacy and how would you buy/store XMR?

Spain targets big spenders: New rules for high-value card payments coming in 2025

I have a similar feeling when I talk about cash, debit cards, pensions etc. Younger people haven't yet developed the healthy cynical and pragmatic approach as older people. They don't see the irony of our governments lecturing about 'privacy' while trying to force us to give up cash and allow...

Spain targets big spenders: New rules for high-value card payments coming in 2025

We have similar laws in Italy. But people simply plan for this by slowly withdrawing more cash over years and storing it at home.

Will Cyprus Join the Schengen Zone Soon?

Agreed! The USA is hypocritical and will invade other countries. They are not perfect, definitely not innocent and have committed atrocities everywhere. But one question: If you are given a choice of where to live, Russia or America? Or maybe Russia's friends, Iran or North Korea? ;)

Will Cyprus Join the Schengen Zone Soon?

Now I'm confused. How has any country been 'forced'? Many EU countries never wanted to be part of Schengen because it diluted their control on those arriving and leaving. Re. Russophobic, this only started after Putin invaded a sovereign country. Before he did this, Russian money was welcome...

Will Cyprus Join the Schengen Zone Soon?

I'm interested. How is the Schengen zone linked to any form of dictatorship? Surely it's the opposite. A dictatorship wants to keep tabs on the population and control them. The Schengen zone makes it easier to travel and stay under the radar. I don't think that the EU is much different from...

Blackcatcard migration - difficulties with incoming/outgoing SEPA transfers

For info, their address is: Papaya Ltd, 31, Sliema Road,, Il-Gżira GZR 1637, Malta Reg C55146 MFSA https://www.papaya.eu/home#partners As usual, all serious complaints should be sent in writing, with a copy to MFSA: https://www.mfsa.mt/ Not sure about their dormancy fee, but you could ask for...

Blackcatcard migration - difficulties with incoming/outgoing SEPA transfers

The last time I used Blackcat was 17 December to buy something from Amazon. So I don't think it's a scam. Simply incompetence! However, for safety, I am thinking now about using my remaining Blackcat funds to purchase goods online and perhaps buy online Amazon vouchers. Then keep a small sum in...

Blackcatcard migration - difficulties with incoming/outgoing SEPA transfers

Well, I complained last month about not being able to do transfers and they apologised again for the delay. So I do not think they would dare to apply a dormancy fee. You can keep it active simply by making small purchases. I used my card with Amazon a few weeks ago. It is just the transfer-in...

    Altery

Revolut once froze my account after I tried to send 200 pounds to our son, a student in London!! They asked for my ID, but they already had it! Communication via webchat was a joke. I went ballistic and threatened to report them for fraud, embezzlement and .... whatever I could think of at the...
