Nothing new here. Every few years a new popular tax-free destination appears, people flock to it, then authorities clamp down. There are always solutions, one just needs to adapt and go onto the less beaten path. If you're doing whatever everybody you will be hurt.

I can't compare as I didn't live in any of them but from stories I heard and friends of mine that I know that are involved in lawsuits with the tax office in Spain (regular people, not even businessowners) I can say I would never live in Spain as a tax resident

100% agree and I would also add that I just love how the same people calling the EU a dictatorship in one thread, are pushing everybody to move to an ACTUAL dictatorship (UAE) in another thread.
