For those who consider or have a bank account in Georgia

Where do the banks ask for this info? On the CRS self certification form or the account opening form? And how to get around this in case I had no tax residence from Jan to Sep 2020 and had tax residence in a non CRS country (let's say Georgia) from Oct till Dec 2020? True, haha. Dominican...

Reason for not having a TIN (CRS self certification)

Well I won't be living at that address, so I won't even pick up the letter. But let's say I get somebody to collect letters for me at that old address. Then I can just reply to them that I never was a tax resident there, never had any locally sourced income and only lived there for a month (all...

Reason for not having a TIN (CRS self certification)

Well it's a pure speculation from my side. I won't be here anyway in a few weeks, I'm not registered here and don't have any income from here. So the options are: 1. Greek taxman get a CRS report on person who doesn't live or is registered in the country and doesn't even have Greek tax ID 2...

Reason for not having a TIN (CRS self certification)

I know, but I decided to not request it. My reasoning is that if Greece gets a CRS report without a TIN, they are more likely to ignore it than if it's with a TIN. Not that it matters much, since I don't plan to live or have any taxable income here anyway. Just don't want to get any extra...

Source of funds for crypto transactions

No you can't withdraw or deposit crypto to Revolut.

Reason for not having a TIN (CRS self certification)

No I don't have a TIN. I know the information will get exchanged, that's not an issue (since I don't have any taxable income in that country, and will only stay there for 2 months). I'd like to know how banks react when you don't provide a TIN and what's a reasonable explanation.

Reason for not having a TIN (CRS self certification)

They actually give you 90 days to provide it so will this explanation work? What about "I have no taxable income in the country"?

Source of funds for crypto transactions

Usually at what amounts do EU banks (like Revolut, N26, Bunq, etc) start asking for proof of funds if you're are doing EUR Sepa transfers from crypto exchanges (Kraken, Bitstamp, etc)? What do you provide them? Do they accept screenshots of crypto to fiat trades?

Reason for not having a TIN (CRS self certification)

What's good to enter as a reason for not having a TIN on a CRS self certification form? Bunq app ask for the TIN, but I'd like to know what's a good explanation in general, so banks won't close my account.

    Banking solution

This was crypto related (incoming transfer from an exchange), right? How did you explain it and did they ask for supporting documentation?

    Interactive broker as personal "bank"

Which non-US brokers do you use? Most of them have fees starting from 0.2% per trade, which sucks compared to IB

How to get TIN from Georgia?

How can I get a TIN (Tax identification number) from Georgia without becoming tax resident there (without spending 183 days or getting HNWI tax residency)? Banks ask for TIN on CRS self certification form. Anybody has experience with opening bank accounts with a Georgian residential address...
