They sent me the money to my personal bank account without issues. No issues dealing with large transfers with an Emirates NBD account. I had 7 figures in my closed Wise account. Good luck!

Fascinating to see how many people are actually affected by the s**t Wise pulls. I guess I got lucky with how quickly they wrapped up my case and sent me my money. I'm now incorporated in Dubai, and opened an Emirates NBD bank account. Have had no issues so far, and their card benefits are awesome.

You can create a Wise business account as a sole trader without having to provide business registration details, and then use this account for business-related activities. That's what I did. It took around a month. Account closed mid December. Got refunded mid January.

You just have to be patient with them. Send the info they ask for, and cross your fingers for a positive response. Bumping your tickets (apparently) sends it to the bottom of the queue, so best if you're just patient. Good luck.

Just got an email from Wise that my refund has been approved, and should be hitting my accounts in 0-2 working days. Hopefully this is the end of a hard lesson. Long story short, f**k Wise.

In that case, let's see if they add the $XX,XXX to my refund whenever and if ever that comes! Wonder if that's something I could release litigation lawyers on if it's missing from the refund.

Nope. My account was closed near end of December. I've been told that they have to complete their "due diligence checks" which "may" take up to 60 working days. But reading similar stories as mine, this may actually take way longer. I have a legal team standing by to full-send a case once those...

This sums it up perfectly. My personal account is in great standing, and it's easy to use the account for everyday-stuff. But for business? Hell no.
