May I ask how did you receive the inspection notice? Email? Physical letter? Via your setup agent (if any)?

The only question is why you need a TIN to do a tax declaration if the revenue department works with your passport number? Sounds a bit unlogical. And passport numbers change and are no unique numbers. They do CRS overseas without TIN? I heard this very often but nobody could prove this up to now.

I think the first sign will be the Thai banks. Most expats opened their bank accounts as "residents" in Thailand. But up to now none of the banks requested a TIN from me or my friends here. As soon as Thai banks request TIN's, you know it's time to be more careful.

May I ask: MOA is Memorandum of Association? Do they need the original MOA (paper issued by freezone), or is the digital pdf version sufficient?

For sure. My feeling is, the Thai PM being a porperty tycoon has some problems with rich foreigners, mainly Chinese, who interfere with his business here.

If I understand this correctly, it”˜s not about payments but worldwide income. If they want to enforce this, everyone with a longterm visa would be obligated to file a tax return.

So overnight they decided to have no territorial tax system anymore. And people here say you can't trust UAE monarchy, until they saw Thai democracy.
