Egypt: non-CRS. How is banking?

This could be a very interesting question actually. Never thought about Egypt as any destination for banking.

Maybe @Martin Everson and the 117 bank accounts can shed some light on this 😉

I have personally never banked in Egypt but would be interested too. I have in mind trying out CIB Overseas banking service perhaps as it seems quite digital and aimed at foreigners. 10k minimum needed to open. Keep in mind banking in Egypt is not for the faint of heart by all looks.

@Admin I am down to 116 now as my Citibank UAE account has just been closed as they no longer offer non-residents accounts 🙁. I won't criticize Citibank for this as a I don't want to end up in prison for insulting them over social media under UAE laws smi(&%......ca#"!
