Tax on profit from selling stocks?

Is it true that as a eu citizen you don't owe any tax on profit generated from selling stocks on EU exchanges?

It is not entirely true.....lol.

Most EU countries have capital gains tax on profits made from selling shares with one or two EU countries offering exceptions.

From a cryptocurrency forum, the people there seem to think that this is possible.
