Limit single payments to 500 GBP
Limit daily payments to 500 GBP
Limit monthly payments to 1500 GBP

Contactless payments

Limit single payments to 100 GBP
Limit daily payments to 500 GBP
Limit monthly payments to 1500 GBP

Online transactions

Limit single payments to 1000 GBP
Limit daily payments to 1000 GBP
Limit monthly payments to 2000 GBP

Chip and pin payments

Limit single payments to 1000 GBP
Limit daily payments to 1000 GBP
Limit monthly payments to 5000 GBP
 
That's very small amounts! WOW we would need a lot of accounts to use this for something!

very small indeed, but as I stated above they plan to give us more - we'll see
anyway one cannot expect it to be very cheap too
 
It says on the back of the card:

"This card is issued by Transferwise Ltd, pursuant to license from Mastercard International"

So I guess they themselves are the issuer

I've an information directly from transferwise that the trial period of new cards will end in May and they will allow higher limits then.

That's already not bad! I believe if they are doing things right it could be a stable solution long term!

Thats what I hope also. I mean Transferwise hold their account with LHV bank in Estonia plus others. LHV bank is opening a new bank branch in London now. LHV cited one of the reasons was the major psp they provide services too ;-) I guess they want to have direct GBP clearing like they have direct euro clearing. These are all clear signs that LHV and Transferwise are doing things correctly to be stable long term.
