I have to disagree here. These protection insurance schemes are designed to make people feel comfortable but often have no merit. The FDIC in the states for example insures up to $250k but if they were ever called upon for this, they do not actually have enough funding to cover it. If this is a concern for you, it's better to go with a bank in a strong stable jurisdiction that does not offer insurance because they don't need to!Flatworld said:
