Hi everyone,

I'm looking for advice regarding the best way to structure my business for legal protection. I'm currently involved in international email marketing and lead generation campaigns and work with agencies and clients primarily in Europe. Due to the nature of my business, I want to make sure that I'm fully protected from potential legal risks, such as disputes over contract terms, data privacy issues (GDPR compliance), and any other potential liabilities that could arise.

I'm considering setting up my company in a jurisdiction that provides strong legal protection for the business owner, particularly when it comes to issues like:

  • Personal liability protection: I want to ensure that my personal assets are not at risk if my business faces legal challenges.
  • Data privacy compliance: Since I deal with European clients and must adhere to GDPR, I want to be sure I'm fully covered in terms of privacy laws.
  • General business protection: I'd also like to know if certain jurisdictions offer more robust protection against lawsuits or contractual issues.
I've been thinking about forming an LLC in the U.S., but I'm not sure if this would provide me with the protection I need, especially considering the international aspect of my business.

Does anyone here have experience with this or know of any countries or jurisdictions that might offer strong legal protection for entrepreneurs in situations like mine? Would an LLC be sufficient, or should I look into other types of entities or jurisdictions?

Any insights or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

You want to break the law and get away with it?

Or you want to run your business in such a way that creditors have a hard time pursuing and people will face major challenges suing you?

Two very different things.

Where are you based and where is the work performed? In most jurisdictions they will always be able to sue you there and get any assets located there. Also, you will be liable to pay taxes where you live and perform the work in most cases.

To do it properly with maximum protection, I'd recommend checking out the Mentor Group forums, you'll find a lot of guidance there on how to avoid exactly the kind of scenario you're concerned about.

In general, I'd say it's important to base your company somewhere your personal information is hard to access. That's currently the case with a US LLC, especially with the way things stand now, with "big Putin" in charge. Otherwise, you should look into jurisdictions like Belize, Seychelles, Isle of Man, and similar options.

To be fully protected, you'll need to find a CSP (Company Service Provider) that accepts crypto and allows you to set everything up without your real name appearing anywhere in the process.

yes, but there are not many of them I must say! In fact I didn't find anyone yet beside the providers of total anonymous companies around OCT.

I spent another day going through all the threads in the mentor group again, and you were right, there actually were some suggestions I just needed to tweak a bit, and they turned out to work. Thanks for the heads-up! But wow, it really was quite the search mission.
