After 8 years, my main Binance account has been deactivated:

Dear Binancian,

In accordance with our Terms of Use, we are required to and have conducted a periodic review of your account. Following a recent evaluation of your account, please be advised that we have discontinued your access to our products and services.

Of course the monkeys don't disclose the reason.
This is my kosher account, which I used for everything from trading to loans, staking, otc etc. I've moved quite some $ through it.
This decision came after a few months of reduced activity, since I find other exchanges to be better suited for me now. My balance is $3 smi(&%
While this has zero practical impact on me, it leaves a bitter taste. It is also ironical that of all the accounts I operate they chose to close the only kosher one.

This serves as a reminder to always have backups ready.

"main" but is it your kyc ? not so kosher I guess
But yes always have back ups and Binance started to suck long time ago .. Use Hyper Liquid no Kyc

Too bad. I once had an account but closed it because I just got a bad feeling about them (based on nothing), that now appears to be the right choice. All my assets are in crypto and I only use Kraken. Fortunately, I have not had any problems with them as of yet

Well, it's not me who regularly tells how literally all financial organizations close his accounts, even without transactions, but simply based on verification. There are so many options why, lol

Mean. But somehow accurate.

Seriously though, I know so many people who had it happened to them on Binance and Coinbase, who were 100% clean, did nothing wrong, all their KYC was on point and did nothing else than buying some Crypto and selling higher. Probably just too much volume, and maybe your Source of Wealth didn't justify such big sums.

I almost didn't use it in the past 4 months. Over the past 8 years I reached vip level 4 in several occasions. So probably too low volume?

It does. They do an annual review and I always passed it without any problem since it was introduced. They know exactly where the crypto comes from as in the early years I used almost exclusively binance.

Just a thought Binance might have a flag for you coming from elsewhere, or they've had a enquire...

Binance like Coinbase are no-no's for seasoned crypto bros i would have thought by now, likewise Bybit.

Why on earth people still use these platforms, I have no idea. The more we use them, the more power they have over us. We must vote with our feet.
