they just paused me a 30 eur transfer because the payment reference contained a name different from the person sending the transfer.
they asked for their full name, date of birth, nationality.
i provided the full name and nationality but the transfer still shows as receiving
like, you pester me for 30 fucking euros? my balance is less than 1k on wise, lol, like wtf man, so fucking stupid... ns2

what's the problem with good old P2P?

I'm sure there is a solution. Some ideas -

Are you 100% sure you can't use your existing account as a "proof of solvency"? They might be able to provide a custom statement if you talk to them.

Have you considered explaining to your bank that the reason for transfer is "proof of solvency" and producing the relevant document yourself (combined with Wise account confirmation letter)?

Have you considered sending multiple 2500 EUR clips over time to Wise?

Have you considered topping up wise with a debit card? (Could be combined with the method above)

Can you open Revolut?

If you have source of funds, you could open Swissquote and deposit the USDT. Then you'd have a Swiss IBAN and all the statements you need. Or a perhaps easier alternative: SwissBorg

They have some weird system they use to verify balances and it only works with participating institutions, no bank in my country participates in that system, hence I must use Wise.

Tried sending multiple 2500 EUR transfers, second one got denied asking for documents, they told me a residency permit would suffice... can't get the residence permit before I have an address, can't have an address before a EU proof of solvency... chicken and the egg
The debit card topping fees are outrageous even considering the fact that I will lose a large chunk of money doing this tomfoolery

Revolut is only functional for EEZ residents, planning on using that one once I get my residency permit for day to day stuff until a normal bank beholds the great honor of allowing me to open a regular account with them.

Will give it a try with the Swiss* EMIs thank you.

The problem is I have no idea what they may ask for as SOF, never been in such situations. All my crypto is bought on Binance over the years, with healthy amount of swaps with the in-wallet swap providers. But if they ask me to produce the transaction records for deposits on Binance I can't do that reliably since the bulk of them were done on an older account through a CC in a country that I no longer live in and to which I no longer have access, so that keeps me up at night.

I have transaction records of receiving a salary and paying taxes on all income, but depending on how anal the whole SOF process is, especially when it comes to crypto, my brain tells me that if someone REALLY wants they can poke holes in my story, even though I've been paying taxes on all my income like a simp.

I wanted to explore P2P USDT->Wise there are a ton of exchanger on BestChange, but I have a strong feeling that Wise might end up asking what is the relationship with the sender, and I strongly believe P2P is way more frowned upon than receiving a withdrawal from a reputable and regulated CEX.

Noooow if I can get someone from those exchangers to agree to some arrangement where I send them an invoice for "consulting", Wise would be ok with it I'm sure, but then a whole can of worms is open where these funds represent income, and you have to pay taxes on fake work (on money you already paid tax on) and it seems like a good way to end up in a lot of trouble with the tax authorities, compounded with the fact that I decided to go live in the EU country with the most fascist tax office.

emm.. basicly ANY withdrawals from CEX could be seen as profit from selling your crypto assets by your tax office.
did you pay your taxes on crypto?! ))
and why you sruck with Wise? there are other EMIs / banks to deal with. have you considered Bunq for example?
it's not a problem to produce B2C payment from marketing company to your account for a reasonable fee, so...
double check any possible issues with your tax office

I hold only stables, capital gains paid on profits, and the rest is what I simply bought for cash (from already taxed salary/savings). The fact that I bought a significant portion in cash offline is another can of worms that I just thought of, but I have the receipts.

I'm stuck with Wise because it's the only service that doesn't gimp the features for residents of my country and it's one of the "blue chip" EMIs and doesn't give me fly-by-night vibes like the most found on here.

I've signed up with at least 5 EMIs only to find out that they do not even offer an IBAN, they treat us like the leper.

PS. What is the experience with Bunq when it comes to receiving transfers from crypto exchanges? Within let's say $100k range?

Nevermind...

Great language you have there, who is the recipient of the money, which country?

We own different OTC desks, but we don't disclose the names publicly as we don't want this to be searchable as it works smoothly with normal banks.
