I have heard some rumors that there are corporate service providers in Switzerland who can use clever international structures to achieve much lower taxation than the head corporate income tax rate.
How do you find such providers and know that they really have experience with this and aren't just reselling some nonsense setup that won't withstand an audit?
People I have spoken to just offered me very basic services (standard company formation).

I think it was @jafo who mentioned you should go to Zug in person and talk to some providers as most won't want to discuss such things without meeting you face to face first.
But even then, how do you find the right people?

Pinging @EliasIT and @clemens as I believe they have some experience.

#Bingo!

This is so perverse and devious! It essentially ERODES the personal income tax of zero!

In other words, I have a few clients who will NOT do business with a company for certain products. They want to pay into my personal account. They want me to be personally...

If we are talking about lump sum taxation and a person who earns 2M/y there is no better option than Monaco. Just park 1M there, rent a studio for 5K monthly and pay nothing in tax. Even Italy with 100K lump sum is cheaper.

True!
But for me, Italy was not available back then and nowadays I'm not too much of a fan of Italy due to their immigration policies. stupi#21
Zug is extremely quiet and people are so nice. There is hardly any crime and I can go walking at midnight without any fear of having to stand trial for self-defense. ca#"!

Also, I needed a place NOT considered...

If you think I'm going to share details about the providers I use or how I've figured out the absolute best setup for myself, forget it.

I'm not revealing how it's done, not because I don't want to help, but because it would put my entire setup at risk.

Some things you just have to figure out on your own through trial and error. And yes, it's going to cost a lot of money. Yes, you'll waste plenty of cash on clueless people trying to sell you things they don't even understand. But that's just how the game works.

I can't help you.

Take Jafo's advice, set up deals with multiple providers from Zug, listen, learn, experiment, and see if it works for you.

I have understood you don't want to do that, and I totally understand and accept that.
I was asking about hints how you have found your providers, so I can do the same.

I was just hoping to be able to save some time - both mine and the providers'. Not much point in talking to people who only tell me what the official corporate income and withholding tax rates are - I can use Google for that.

I am based in Zug for some time. When i arrived, it was very instructive to just walk down the "main" streets such as Industriestrasse or Baarerstrasse and look at the mailboxes 🙂 You will often find out some mailboxes with several company names and often not too far the name of their "fiduciary". Then do some research based on your findings and arrange meetings.

But how much tax are you paying with your company? Any amazing exemptions etc.?

Most of the time, you can learn a great deal by talking to different people or businesses about a topic like this.

Sometimes, you get information that you wouldn't have received if you had gone directly and specifically to a provider!

It has often happened to me that during a meeting with a service, I become aware of something I can bring to the next meeting, which then leads to an entirely different solution. In my opinion, it's never a waste of time.

Swiss scam? I am not a service provide, but Switzerland is still one of the foremost jurisdictions for UHNWIs. The lack of capital gains taxes, hyper partisan politics, endless contributions to wars, phenomenal healthcare, a cohesive population from a socioeconomic and education standpoint, and a very vaunted lifestyle are all the reasons, the list goes on and on too.

The corporate environment is not much different in the world's most innovative country (yes real statistic) with low taxes for holdings companies and no CFC laws amongst other things. Switzerland is far from a scam. The UAE and other jurisdictions maybe better depending on your income source and level of wealth, but not by very much to most at the higher levels.

If you earn a lot of money or already have a significant fortune and want to settle in Europe under decent conditions, where money can buy you access to quality healthcare, good doctors, and excellent services and products, Switzerland remains one of the best places to be.

However, if you don't have substantial wealth or can't earn at least 15,000 EUR per month, you might want to consider another destination.

Yes. Please. I want taxes for a penny on the dollar. Sorry for a Rappen on the Franken.

Going to be hard, you have extremely biased, uninformed supposed "experts" that due to their own financial inadequacy will come to post making statements of accusing the country of being a scam, the country those with vast amounts of wealth, advice, and perspective most often choose.

I once proposed a Switzerland forum here where all emotions and misinformation can be lodged. Got me at least one ignore. But would be better to have all in one place. In every other thread that mentions Switzerland, the discussion rapidly deviates into a discussion whether the bank fees are too high, whether you can pay 45% txes and now even whether the whole country is a scam?

I think maybe one day, we should open a Sewitzerland forum here. I know that there are many people here from EUSSR admiring the country like we admire cows and milk. But how many here grew up in this country? How many went through all the schools, courts and prisons? I once had a conversation with a head of canton (as usual in Switzerland, there is more than one president on most levels) and told him directly into his face that I believe that a good half of all penalty orders are erroneous and the prosecuted would have serious arguments to oppose when I would call them. Of course, he...

Do you have any experience with these?

I have contacted a few, and I must say that the Swiss, in general, are friendly and helpful. However, some of them (just like in any other country) are greedy and try to lure you into their business, only to hit you with hefty invoices afterward.

Make sure to get an estimate of all their fees, some are so petty that they charge a fee just for talking to them and bill in 15-minute intervals. You don't need that.
