hello, has anyone here applied yet for the SBR with a FZCO?

How did it go? have you been accepted?

I read that local business (customers) is required or preferred to get accepted for the SBR?

Besides that, only requiremend is less then 3M AED revenue per year?

Curious to hear from you.

A qualifying freezone is not a normal freezone. The term qualifying freezone is define in the page.

If I remember correctly, qualifying freezone entities are tax free. They are named like that because they qualify for a tax exemption.
So it makes sense that they can't apply for the SBR.

Yes, regular freezone companies should be eligible for the SBR:

Therefore, a Free Zone entity electing to join the normal scheme with standard rate of CIT of 9%, is eligible to apply for Small Business Relief (subject to the Scheme conditions). Of important note is the Free Zone entity, once elected to the standard scheme, becomes ineligible to apply for the Free Zone Exemption to attain status as a Qualifying Free Zone Person (QFZP).
