Hello, I have been out of the loop for some months now.
Basically I have a UAE FZCO company with mashreq biz account, it was made by FRED when he was still around.
I did not use it for some time and also did not visit UAE every 6 months like I was supposed to.
I would like to get into contact with someone who has experience with UAE and this new fines that they started to make for people who dont follow the 6 months rule.
I was told that in practice you can get away with it usually, but now some things have changed.
I would appreciate if I could get some contact to help with accounting and with following rules as FRED is no longer offering services.

You have to pay for every month your outside of the UAE over the 6 month period. Something like 500 - 1000 AED and get a re entry permit. Best to contact IFZA and ask them for a quote.

So just paying fine of 1k aed per month is enough to normally use company?
And is the 6 rule still in place I heard something about 1 month which woold make UAE completely useless if you dont plan to stay in this desert.

As far as I know Fred is back in business and so is the company DLS Dubai. Have you tried contacting the company in the usual way through Dina or Fred?

IFZA has an automated process to apply for a re-entry permit. You can email them and they'll send you the link. The main thing you'll need is a letter giving a valid reason. Being unable to return for business reasons is a valid excuse.

Exactly. Why complicate things by getting 3rd party's involved.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but i have a question.

In case i do not need visa or residency at moment, is that required for registering a Freezone Company?

I think emirates ID is required to complete bank process.

What about Visa ( and to keep it active)?

If i need Visa for company + bank, then this goes off my list, as i have no chance to go every 6 months ( once per 6 months )

Thanks in advance

No.

Not necessarily. Probably depends on where you want to bank.

You don't need a visa to have a company. But what is the purpose of the company then? Are you planning to hire employees in the UAE?
A mod should probably move this to a separate thread, though.

I have contacted them and they were responsive at first but after asking some basic questions about the tax/vat/auditing situation they went ghost. Seems like they just want the renewal. I'm outta there.
