It shouldn't crack if you step over it and the average thief should mistake it for a phone.

It is/was ( I looked at it 3 years or so ago ) a phone , If I recall correctly they were using some cheap MediaTek soc . It still had functioning WIFI module , it was just blocked in Android . (found a article confirming it : https://www.ledger.com/blog/ellipal-security)
Do you know if they are using a secure element chip?

But what about the company behind this hardware wallet, how long have they been on the market and do they have the financial stability to remain in the market so that you don't end up with a wallet that soon won't receive updates or other support?

Unknown and anyway you shouldn't rely on a company's stability. See what happened with Ledger Blue. I have a bunch of such devices that are now unusable, and I'm still waiting for Ledger to tell me what I'm supposed to do with them.

Did you manage to transfer your coins to another device before your Ledger Blue became completely unusable? And why are you waiting for their response instead of simply discarding it and using the new devices you already have?

The same seed phrase can be used for a Ledger nano, no problem.

Because I paid quite a high price for these devices and I expect them to at least give me a discount for the purchase of new ones, if they don't want to issue a refund. See it as a test of how serious this company is.
