Greed could very well bring the whole thing crashing down, BTC price and all. Not sure exactly how that would look, but events like this Trump meme can make the wheels come off.
That said, crypto code is still crypto code, so if people start using it as a currency as it was intended, from their own decentralised wallets, we might go back to normality again. Just use Monero and enjoy being private. Stop trying to get rich with this stuff.

DOGE is the second biggest PoW network... defective by design, destined to disappear in the long-term like others alike but at least usable

They are both memecoins, worse than shitcoins with no value or use case hence I would put them in the same bag. It is just a funny world we live in where a president pulls a stunt like this.
