Yes true but they need to do at least something to avoid legal trouble from gov which it seems like they failed to avoid either way. At least its better than facebook or whatsapp, even ukraine and russia use it for military purpose. Mr Durov has chartered and boarded on August the 24th the Embraer Legacy 600/ER135 from Austrian MJet fleet from Baku to Paris. That particular plane with number MJF3B has more then 6000km of range. The flown distance is cca 4000km. It terminal phase, that plane changed course before landing in Paris - LBG. That implies two probabilities - that Mr Durov has been informed post festum about the impeding event and instructed the pilots to change course and that French authorities forced the pilots to land on LBG.
Mr Putin was in Baku on a two day state visit from August 18th to 19th. Mr Durov came to Baku on August the 17th. Officialy, they did not met and unofficialy Mr Putin declined a proposal for a meeting. Again unofficialy, they met.
As Mr Durov is French, UAE and Russian citizen with a taste for beautiful Russo-Jewish women, his arrest appears as a result of a momentous and possibly provoked decision with unforeseen consequences. Being Ukrainian, I have list of number of russian/Ukrainian public channels about war with quite sensitive information: real time war videos with uncensored body parts, mass kiling, cutting off heads and other body parts of Ukrainian prisoners of war by Russian soldiers and other materials of a cruel nature.
Not a single channel of such was banned/deleted/moderated. NOT A SINGLE ONE. They have millions of subscribers and fully public and operate for a years. For Israeli of my area interest the same.

There are many channels on telegram on "controversial topics" and they are running since many years, I haven't seen any channel get taken down. Telegram is not perfect but way better than whatsapp, facebook with unreal cenzorship. Well they would not arrest the guy if telegram was 100% controlled by the globalists

Also you should don't mix up banning by TG team during moderation, and for example deleting one when police arrested owner of the channel, got access to it and delete it/restrict or channel removes automatically due to inactivity.
