When I apply for a an ecommerce merchant account, underwriting often requires a fulfillment agreement as part of their KYC. How thorough do they check it? Do they call/ email fulfillment centers to check if a merchant is indeed their client?
If they do verify, there is no reasonable way to confirm whether someone is a client as that's usually confidential information. Verification is limited to ensuring that the counterparty exists and is contactable (email and/or phone at least work).
I have never been subjected to them following up on that document. Some payment processors that I use haven't even had such a form that I needed to fill out or create myself.
